     "HEY MARK!"

The words surprised me but I knew who they came from.

"Hey Mom, have you seen dad?"
"Yeah, he just went into the garage to get your costume. Do you need anything?"

I just needed my costume, I was going to be a Thief. It was $24.99 for
the full outfit, we had the money to get something more expensive but I liked to be cheap.

"Nope, just need my costume"
"Okay. Do you have everything else ready?"
"Yeah. Do I have to go to school tomorrow since we're going to be up late tonight?"
"Um, I don't know. How about we see later when we get home?"
"Ok mom, Miss Green said she can help me with my English homework. She said she can even tutor me after school and you can pick me up from her house."

My mom gave me a smile and nodded.

"Anything you need Markus, just make sure to get her number so I can call her and talk to her about it ok?"
"Yes ma'am"

"Hey bud, here's your stuff. You ready Honey?"
"Yeah just waiting on Markus, then we're good to go."
"Alright sounds good I'll go get the car started"

I ran to my room and got dressed as fast as possible, it was a little confusing but it didn't take to long.

"You ready to go hun?"
"Yeah."

My dad gave a little cough, it was small but I knew what it meant.

"Yes ma'am"
I smiled as I said this and my dad smiled back in the rear view mirror.

My mom leaned over and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Just like your dad. Always so respectful."
"A woman deserves respect right Mark?"
"Yes sir"
"I love you son. Just remember, happy wife means happy life. She's the boss."
"I love you too Dad"

I smiled at my dad as we began to drive out of the driveway.
