It has been two months since Melany started her new school. Brighton High, it was called (even though it wasn't in Brighton) which was a terribly ironic name for such a boring place. The headmistress that greeted Melany had a fitting name. Miss Gray had a tight bun and tighter mouth, and blood shot eyes from all the yelling.
During first period on Monday, which just so happened to be Maths, Miss Gray entered the classroom with a stranger. The class stood up to give an illusion of respect, which was followed by more smoke and mirrors.
"GOOOD MOORNING MISS GRAAAAAY" the class of hooligans ominously chanted.
The headmistress replied in an unemotional tone. "Good morning, class F4." I shuddered, remembering the nightmare I had on the first day of school, where the school was a prison.
"You have a new student today. Please welcome Grimme Gray, your new classmate." I couldn't help but giggle. Grimme Gray sounded like the name of a cartoon character. She looked like one too. In fact, she looked like a carbon copy of Snow White. This was Snow Grey. Was this the headmistress niece, like the rumours said? Had she been biased when testing her?
When Miss Gray left out cell, Grimme Grey sneaked into the classroom. Out of all the free places, she had to sit next to me. Great. I whispered to Jenna, who was sitting to my right.
"Didn't I let everyone know that I was like, against new people?" I jokingly said with a scrowl. Jenna giggled, and Grimme looked at me with a pathetic, confused face.
I hissed at her. "What are you looking at, huh?" Her eyes darted from left to right as I continued. "I hope the devil uses your backbone as a ladder to pick apples in the garden of hell." Dont ask me what that means. I just hear my grandpa use it a lot when he was alive.
Instead of giving me the satisfaction of seeing her face light if with anxiety, Grimme smirked at me. I gestured that I was keeping my eyes on her, and got back to my exercises.
