~Chapter 20~Getting Closer

"She is Shagun Shergill! Karan's Girlfriend and his PA..." listening which everyone was shocked maybe but one person was definitely beyond happy... He probably did a few flips in his mind but managed to keep a straight face and he was Manik. Duh! Obviously!

"Actually....." then she narrated everything to them about their business rivalry and fights and then also asked them to keep it a secret and not to disclose to anyone.

"Woohhoo..Now this sounds like some Bollywood movie. Family problem business rivalry and Thoda dhishoom dhishoom Waah!" Cabir said and received glare from everyone specially Nandini

"Sorry..." Cabir said because even though none of the other people's glare scared him, Nandini's one looks was enough to transform it into a bheegi billi.

"I love this! Finally Cabir kisi se darta hai..I am so damn impressed already Nandini." Mukti hi-fied Manik making others laugh and Cabir to scowl while Nandini was embarrassed?!

"But guys seriously It seems so romantic. Office mein romance and all chalta hoga.." alya said excitedly.

"Don't even ask Alya! Kitni baar bache hai yehlog pakade Jane se.." Nandini spoke reminiscing some moments.

Soon waiter arrived with their orders... "Sorry to disturb your time I will take a leave waise bhi I just came taki Shagun and Karan aamne saamne ah sake..." Nandini said apologizing.

"Uff! Bhabhi... aap bhi kya formality wale baatein kar rahe ho." Cabir spoke..

"Exactly. And Nandini I am not asking you..Its already evening and you haven't eaten your lunch! So chup chap yaha baith ke khaao and I don't want to hear a word." This time manik said in a stern tone while Nandini was surprised by his words,shocked by the way he showed his right on her and also happy seeing his care.
Not having the courage to go against his words or maybe she did not want to, she sat down and they all had their lunch with the much needed laughter session. After eating,she bid them bye and was about to leave when,

"Nandini wait... " saying this manik joined her bidding a silent bye to everyone to which Cabir gave a teasing smile to him.

They were moving outside when manik asked "Are you busy abhi? I mean tumhe koi jaldi hai kya jaane ki?"

"Nahi! Aisa kuch nahi hai.. Kyun?" Nandini spoke being confused.

"Woh ... Actually... Nahi... mera matlab hai... woh..." Manik started stammering to which nandini interrupted him saying

"Aap haar baat kehne se pehle kyun stammer karte ho?! I won't eat you..." listening this manik just rubbed the back of his neck.

"Willyoucomewithmeforadrive" He spoke fastly half closing his eyes.

"Manik! Aap thode dheere bol sakte hai.. Mujhe kuch samajh nahi aaya."

"Will you come with me for a drive..." He asked being unsure of his own words. Nandini smiled at his cute demand and after seeing his desperate eyes just nodded her head in approval...
