The leaves on the trees had turned from green to red, brown and yellow, and were falling off as fall had come again. Kids, dressed up as monsters were roaming the streets of Quahog with their candy filled bags while the sun was beginning to set.
At the Griffin house, Chris and Meg were putting their costumes on so they would be ready for the big Halloween party at Connie D'amico's house. Naturally, they both weren't invited, but as long as they were disguised in their spooky costumes, she wouldn't be able to tell it's them.
Peter and Lois planned on spending their Halloween night in their bedroom. Hoping to spice up their marriage, Lois rented a few marriage counseling tapes. Peter found Brian's stash of pot and smoked all of it beforehand so he wouldn't get bored.
Stewie was in his room, working on a new device, this year he didn't want to celebrate Halloween because he had been bullied by older kids the previous Halloween, and all the kids, dressed up as monsters terrified him. Stewie heard a knock on his bedroom door, he looked to see Brian standing in the doorway.
"Brian, come in, I have to show you something." Stewie was glad to see Brian on the spookiest night of the year, for some reason when Brian's around, Stewie feels safe. Brian walked in and sat at Stewie's tea table.
"Is it a tennis ball?" Brian's tail began wagging as he excitedly awaited Stewie to reveal what he has to show.
"It's even better than that Brian." Stewie pulled a device out of his pocket. "Ta Da!" The device looked like an ordinary remote.
"What is it?" Brian's excitement died down, he was really hoping it would be a tennis ball.
"It's a remote that let's us travel to whatever show or movie is playing on the TV. I call it, TV Portal Remote." Stewie stood proudly.
"That's kind of lame." Brian said. Stewie looked at Brian unimpressed.
"Oh I'm sorry, how's that book of yours going Brian?" Stewie teased.
"Okay fine, it is pretty cool, but you couldn't come up with a better name for it?"
"Admittedly, No." Stewie looked down at the ground, ashamed at himself for not thinking of a better name for the device.
"So why did you make it anyway." Brian poured some pretend tea into his teacup. He then poured some into a cup for Stewie as Stewie sat down.
"Thanks." Stewie took a sip. "I built it because I wanted to be somewhere that isn't celebrating Halloween." Stewie said. He took another sip before resting the cup on the table.
"You don't want to celebrate Halloween either? Could I maybe come along with you when you set the TV Portal Remote up?" Brian asked.
"Of course. But why don't you want to celebrate Halloween?"
"Honestly, I'm just avoiding this girl I promised to take out tonight, she'll actually be here in about five minutes." Brian sculled his tea.
"You're scu... Wait why did you scull your pretend tea?" Stewie asked.
"I put some vodka in it while you were sipping your tea." Brian said while pouring more vodka in.
"Oh. Anyway as I was saying. You're scum Brian, but I guess we better get going." Stewie and Brian went downstairs into the lounge room. Stewie plugged a device into the television and turned it on. He then turned the dvd player on and took out the dvd inside.
"Hmm, John Carpenter's Halloween. We sure would've been in a lot of trouble if I had forgotten to take that out." Stewie put the disc on top of the dvd player and replaced it with Jolly Farm.
