"You worthless price of sh*t, you were told to finish my laundry and clean our rooms! Forget it, but u better do it tomorrow u b*tch! I'm going to bed." This was a typical afternoon, I would get beaten, thrown against a wall, then they would leave me. Almost every night, my 'Dad' would punish me for apparently not doing the things that I already did. He would say I didn't do them right, that I shouldn't live. This had only made me stronger though, he wants me to give in, he wants me to beg for mercy, but I never will.
I walked up to my 'room' that's actually a closet as small as Harry Potter's room under the stairs. I changed into my running clothes as I listened for the familiar thud, indicating he fell off his bed drunk again, as every night. I rushed outside, I am probably the most fantaskiest, sneakiest person you would ever meet. As soon as I got outside I began training, I would train myself every night after my beating then I would go for a run, 10 miles each day. I looked down at my watch that my real father gave me and it was 1am! Today felt like a good day, I had my first dad back to school, in 6 hours.
If only the pain from the beating would let off a little. I still pushed myself though. I only run and work on fighting skills so my 'parents' wouldn't notice my muscle I've gained.
As I made it about 5 miles from my house I stopped to take in my surroundings. The sun was just peeking over the horizon making the tall pines and oaks above me glimmer in the light. The forest floor was filled with leaves and moss surrounding the rocks and trees. If felt like I was free for once, free from the pain and yelling. Free of feeling I don't belong. Like my own enchanting forest.
I walked over to a log and decided to sit, too bad it was rotting. I fell through only to scratch my wrist and calf enough to start bleeding. 'Well this is just great' I mumbled as I got back up. 'There are probably animals searching around now due to the smell of blood' and soon enough, I was up brushing myself off getting ready to head back to be stopped by the sound of the bushes near me shuffle.
I froze and stared at the bush, getting ready to run away. In didn't work hard to stay in shape just tj be killed by some animal! I carefully started going the way I cane from as I saw some bright green eyes appear from the bush. 'F this, I'm running' and I was off to home in record time.
I know, short, but it's my first book, well, kind of first. Hope you guys enjoy the rest though!!! I'm updating soon!
