With a swift twirl with his hand out stretched, Fylec casts GiBarta towards the boss of the Mines and around his self.
Suddenly, something unknown happens...
Kireek (sounding like he is over a tannoy): Well, I like what I am seeing here fellows. However, why don't we up the anti? VOL OPT! RECOVER!
With Kireek's command shouted at it, Vol Opt surrounds itself in a green aurora and its damaged sides replenish back to when it first began to fight the hunter crew.
Berd: Uh, you know, that's kind of cheating isn't it?
F. N: Yeah, I mean, come on!
Jokesum: I have an idea. Bear with me for five minutes while I do something else. General! You are in command.
O. M: What the devil is going on? Haven't we already damaged this Vol Opt enough?
G. M: It would appear that Kireek, or Black Paper, has another idea. Would you three please stay on the side near me, we shall attack more efficiently and more powerfully this way. Jokesum, what is your plan?
Holding his arm while his hand holds his chin, Jokesum think for a while as what to do in this new situation that has arisen. It is true that the test that Jokesum's trainer has given Jokesum will test all of Jokesum's 'metal'.
Jokesum: EUREKA! I have it!
Switching out his Varista, Jokesum then shoots directly towards the top of Vol Opt. On top of Vol Opt, quite well hidden, is Vol Opts' off switch. Yeah, it IS that simple. So as the shot from Jokesum's Varista hit the switch, Vol Opt began to shut down.
The lights from all the sides draining upwards towards the power switch as Vol Opt began to lose its hover function, until...
Jokesum: I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET VOL OPT!
Berd: YEAH! ME TOO!
O. M: What has gotten into...oh dear lord!
Berd and Jokesum jump at Vol Opt, like some kind of wild dogs. They begin to tear off lights and wires from the insides of Vol Opt, past the faces.
With a sudden impact on the gap in the floor, somehow, Vol Opts' deceased remains lay unlit and unmoving. Then, Vol Opts' shell beings to shake slightly as suddenly Jokesum and Berd jump out carrying the metal heart of Vol Opt. The empty shell then falls back through the floor.
G. M: What's the deal with yanking out its heart then fellas?
Jokesum: It's for the fact that now, because I'm assuming, Version 2 will see his pre-evolution and think twice before listening to Kireek.
Berd: I thought we took out the heart because we could use it to boost the power of me and you?
O. M: Jokesum, what are your intentions with Vol Opts' heart?
Jokesum: Powering up Berd. He needs it more as Fylec seems quite capable of handling himself now, no?
F. N: Yeah, he's right fellas. I found that last quick match with Vol Opt a breeze with the aid of my comrades.
Berd: SWEET! And, luckily, this heart isn't that heavy. And, I can carry it on my back as a battery pack if you will. Awesome!
G. M: Right, okay. Looks through the gap in the floor. This won't be that hard, however, getting down without allowing Version two getting the first hits will be hard. Thoughts lads?
O. M: May I suggest we continue on this floor, it's but only one room away to the teleporter down to Vol Opt Version 2.
Berd: I'm with Old Man; the teleporter will be much easier on our health and on knowing where we will be dropping down to.
