"This part of the game is rather simple.... Don't die. "He maniacally laughed over the intercom. "Make it across the stream and you live another day. But if you don't and if the other contestants kill you well, you're dead!"
Our cages opened up and as I looked around me all I could see was darkness.
All I have to do is survive.
Survive. Easy to say, But when your surrounded by people who will do anything to do just that it's challenging to say the least. I could feel them watching me. The ones responsible for putting us in this god forsaken place.
"Those of you who actually survive will then continue on to the next faze of the game. I wish all of you the best of luck. And remember, do put on a good show." The warning in his voice not going unnoticed. Meaning if we don't make this interesting there would be consequences. Even though we are already in our own personal slice of hell. The speaker shuts off. Meaning it was time for this nightmare to begin.
Just stay alive.
The mantra I kept repeating since the very first moment I was brought here.
A loud buzzer like sound goes off. Our play area as he likes to call it, lights up. Revealing what could only be described as a forest of some sort. Well, of course minus the fact that we are inside a compound, it looks natural and serene.
"LET THE GAMES BEGIN!"
