Cale

I nearly broke the phone as I slammed it back onto the desk. Was it so hard to close a business deal?

"Meredith!" My P.A. scurried through the door and gave me a knowing look.

"Who am I firing?"

"Mr. Matthews, if you will. I ask him to close a very important business deal with a client and he not only shows up in jeans and a t-shirt, but he directed the client to a different law firm," I could feel my rage building, "I will return in one hour. If Mr. Matthews is not out of this building within that hour, I will personally throw him," Meredith nodded and scurried back the way she came. I loosened my tie and grabbed my phone. I need to let loose on my pent-up rage and I knew exactly where to go.

Arriving at The Muse Den, I rolled my shoulders and tried to breathe calmly. As I walked past the parking lot, I noticed an unusual car parked in the visitor area. It was a black Toyota Celica. I would have to ask Ken who's it was.

"Cale, what a surprise," Ken gave me a slight bow and I flashed him a grin.

"Isn't it though? So who got a new car?"

"No one. We have a potential new bartender. He looks delicious too. Just wait till you see him!" I looked towards the one lit room down the hallway. Must be Daniel's office.

"Maybe I'll go have a sneak peek," I winked at Ken before heading down the hallway. Just as I reached the office, a small figure ran into me and backed against the wall. I could see his eyes trail down and I smirked. I could hear him mutter a quick sorry and I hummed. While I preferred my subs to be tan and lean, the boy before me was beyond gorgeous and I couldn't help but enjoy the slight blush that blended his freckles into his face. I found myself hoping he was our new bartender.

"Yes, sorry indeed you will be should you run into me again. Who knows what I could do to a little thing like you," his lips looked so soft, I couldn't help reaching out and tracing the bottom one with the pad of my thumb. He let out a little whine.

"Cale!" Daniel yelled and he jumped. I laughed and patted the boy on the head.

"Have a good day, little bunny," I said and slinked past him.

"Please tell me that kid is our new bartender?" I pleaded and Daniel rolled his eyes.

"Perhaps. Depending on how well he performs tomorrow during the trial,"

"Well if he's not a bartender, I want to claim him,"

"He's not in the scene. You'll have to wait until he's done training. Now, you obviously came here for a reason, Cale. What do you want?"

"You got a free sub available? I've been pissed all day and this stupid idiot almost made me punch a wall,"

"It's Tuesday. At nine-fifteen. No, we don't have a free sub. You'll have to go somewhere else,"

"Maybe I'll go find that boy and see if he wants to-"

"Don't you dare, Jones!" Daniel yelled after me as I rushed out of his office. Fortunately for him, I was unable to locate the little bunny, but I found Ken and with the right persuasion, I could convince him to give me information.

"Ken! Got a favor to ask you,"

"Cale, whatever it is, I'm not doing it. Last time I did you a favor, it was a way to get back at Mr. Knight and I will not be part of that again," Ken turned away from me and to the back storage room.

"Oh come on, I just want some information on the kid. The bartender newbie,"

"Does Mr. Knight know?"
