There was a crash behind us. "Shit, the baracaid!" Kai yelled. Mia quickly stood up, preparing herself for what ever hell was about to break loose. I turned to Kai who had already positioned himself infront of me protectivly. Why was he protecting me? I thought about it for a second but soon pushed it to the back of my mind. The Crashing against the baracid became more violent. In a matter of seconds it came crashing down. Kai took hold a hold of my wrist. Tingles started to flow from his touch. It felt so wonderful. No Ray, concerntrate! I can't get distracted by my stupid feelings, this was a matter of life or death. I looked over to the entrance. Something was slowly emerging through the dust. Suddlenly the figure dropped something and it hit the ground with a loud thud. Before I could stop her, Mia ran past me and flung herself onto a blood soaked Gabe. I was stunned that he made it, how did he even know where we were. His blond hair was now a deep red and stuck to his face which I think Mia was about to devour. Gross. I looked down at my wrist which Kai still had a grip of. He followed my eyes and quickly let go. Before I could say anything a wave of nausea came over me. I felt dizzy and my head hurt like a bitch. The world was spinning. It was then that it all went black.

When I opend my eyes I was met with a splitting head ache. My eye lids felt heavy but I forced them open. Before I could sit up right I was tackled back down. "Omg Ray dont scare me like that!" Mia cried. She was still ontop of me in an embracing hug. When I was finally able to move again I noticed we were still on the roof and I had someones blazer drapped over my body. Mia had told me everything that happened. How Gabe fought his was to us with the help of Oscar who was now sitting comfortably infront of a newly constructed barrier. She also told me how I just passed out and worried the lot of them, and how Kai had generously given up his blazer to me. " What do we do now?" I asked the group, "As much as I love sitting around waiting to be eaten alive I think we need a plan. We need to somehow get through this and find out whats happening so that maybe we can live through another day."

"Well before we do that let's find out what we know so far" Gabe motioned as he was walking over to where Mia and I were sitting. Soon everyone came and sat near us. "We know they aren't human anymore" Mia said almost in a whisper. She still didn't want to believe any of this and I knew that she was trying to be helpful." Their weakness is their heads. One hard hit and they're out." Oscar said with a serious face.

"Anything else?" I said, looking around the group. Everyone looked so tired and deep in thought. Oscar and Gabe were still both covered in blood. It was almost sickening to look at but at the same time I was glad they were safe. Suddenly Kai spoke up, "They seem to be dead but walking and they seem to stumble around when they walk."

"Well that's strange. They stumble when they walk almost like..... it's almost like they cant see!" I said. How had we not realized that before? They don't have proper eye sight! Oscar cleared his throat, "But how do they know where to attack us then?"

"That's a very true point. If they can't see and they arent living then how are they able to attack us so swiftly?"

"They are also very strong," Gabe said, "Once in their grasp it's almost impossible to break out." They were super human now with a hunger for human flesh. We cant stay here for much longer. How long will it be until we all starve or it starts to rain?

"We cant stay here any longer" I said.  I looked around our small group. Mia was pale I knew she didn't want to leave. This place has been our only sancuary through this whole event. Gabe was sitting next to Mia, he looked like he was confused and having his own little debate in his head. Oscar was looking at me with a serious face, I knew that he too didn't want to leave.

"I know you guys don't want to leave but we have to. Yes this place has been our safe house but how long will we stay safe here? How long will it be until we starve or it starts to rain or hail? The snow is coming soon, how will we last through that? We need to move and keep moving until we can be sure that we are safe. Safe from those monsterous infected creatures and also safe from the elements and hunger. We need to find a place where we can truley be safe. A place so isolated from everything that the infected can't get us, but a place we are still able to survive in. We need to fight in order to truley survive." I  stood up now. and looked around the group again. Mia and gabe were looking at me, realisation written on there faces. Mia had color back in her face she looked almost confident now. Gabe was nodding in approval. Oscar had his big smirk on and was giving me a look of approval. I was going to say more until my eyes were sucked into deep sea of blue ones. I could feel the blood rush to my face I wanted to turn away but I couldn't, all I could do was stare into his big beautiful eyes. I took a step closer when someone cleared there throat, Kai broke the gaze first and turned. Relief and pain filled through me, I wanted to keep looking into his eyes. I turned to look at who had interupted us. Oscar was standing and looked at me with his usual knowing smirk. Oh god he noticed, please don't say anything, please don't say anything.

"So, what's the plan boss?" he said, almost in a laugh. I could feel a smile escape my lips at his words.  I was glad he didn't say anything though I knew that I would hear about it later but for now it's time to survive.

The fight begins now..........
