To say I had nothing to wear was a total lie. I was just so nervous I couldn't pick an outfit. It's simple, just scramble all the clothes on the bed and randomly pick an outfit. Easier said than done after picking a shirt, even with my eyes closed, I still had second thoughts. Finally I was wearing a white t-shirt that was tucked into my high-waisted jeans. I just put my hair up in a high ponytail even though I had a new curling iron in my closet, for the sake of time.  My makeup was light but noticeable, I was wearing black eyeliner on my bottom eyelid, wore nude eyeshadow,  I curled my eyelashes but I didn't wear mascara, and a cherry chapstick.

6:18. Me and Andrew agreed to meet at Froyo-Lolo at 6:30 and it was about a 10 minute walk. "Be home soon, thank you." I quickly advised Mr and Mrs. Albertson.  "Okay deary, have fun" yelled Mrs. Albertson with a giggle.

All the pep-talk I gave myself on my walk to Froyo-Lolo disappeared when I saw him waiting outside the door. His hair was placed back with gel although he still had a few messy, crazy hairs but he looked absolutely gorgeous. Then he looked around and saw me. I froze. Especially when I saw that gorgeous smile. Then he started walking towards me, and it took him three steps and an eyebrow raise to make me realize I was just standing with a shocked face so I decided to move my feet and met him halfway.

"You look great" Three words and that gorgeous smile and it felt as if I was on cloud nine. "Pssh, well you don't look bad yourself" said my dumb mouth along with possibly the worst wink ever attempted thankfully he just chuckled at my embarrassing lack of winking skills. "Common, I'm feeling like I want extra sprinkles."

"Alright $4.32" said the cashier with her ice cream themed headband. Thats when Andrew caught me by surprise "Oh, we're paying together" naturally came my confused huh face. "What kind a gentleman would I be if I didn't pay for our first date?" A DATE? Lord have mercy... I could have fainted on the spot but my mango flavored forzen yogurt would go to waste so all I did was blush, tremendously.

After constant bragging of how each others yogurt was better than the others Andrew just kind of stared at me. "Stop starring stalker" I commented with a small chuckle. He just stuck his tongue out and took another bite then asked the question "so where you from beautiful?" Crap. "Well I was born in Denver, Co but I travel a lot so yea, where you born here?" I asked choosing my words carefully. "Yup, born and raised in Ridgewood, Pennsylvania. Do you travel because of your parents job or something? Because I don't want to get to attached to your pretty face if you're just going to leave me." He ended with a pout which caused me to giggle. "No not exactly, umm, I'm an uhh orphan." And then I saw it the eyes of sympathy. "My dad died when I was 3 months old, and my mom died when I was 9 years old, I've been in the foster program since." He startled me by just reaching over, grabbing my hand and giving me a comforting smile. Just what I needed to know he wouldn't care, most people would respond with I'm sorry, and I never understood, why did they feel sorry, was it just their way of showing pitty and thats how I new Andrew was different.

After giving, as well as receiving, a little more basic background knowledge of each other and finishing our frozen yogurt we were getting to ready to leave. Andrew told me about his parents and how his father died when he was 8 serving as a Marine, but his step father was very nice and his mother was very supportive. He told me about how his father and him were really into football before he died and that he wishes to play professional someday for his dad seeing as he's an only child. I told him brief stories about my time in the system and he listened carefully giving me comforting smiles here and there. I told him about Mr. and Mrs. Albertson and how nice they been.

As soon as we stepped outside it was easy to see our breaths due to the cold temperatures. After moments of just standing and looking up at the moon light sky I broke the silence,  "Thank you so much for everything, I had fun." Seeming as though Andrew was day dreaming, he snapped back at the sound of my voice and with a smile he responded "Of course, could I offer to take you home? I promise not to kidnap you and hid you in the cabin me and my family own close to the woods." My reaction must have been priceless beacuse he started laughing to the point were he couldn't breath. Once he had the strength to stand up straight he put his hands over my shoulders looked straight into my eyes and said "don't worry i would never leave you in a place with no wifi, im no monster but I might just take you someday and we could have a picnic with a lakes view. But how about I just take you home tonight?" I just chuckled and gave a nod before we started walking towards his 2011 Sinatra.

The car ride was held with a comfortable silence with the short directions I gave him signaling right or left. Soon enough we were outside my small house and after giving a good thank you and stepping one foot out the door he grabbed my hand causing me to look back at him with a questioning look. He quickly answered "sorry I just, I had a really good time today and I was just wondering if we could, uhh hangout again sometime maybe at school or the arcade, I dont know you just seem really cool and you're different a good different and I just, you know want to get to know you more Aly." After his little runon I gave his hand a tight little squeeze with a smile "of course, see you at school?" And he just nodded. "Oh wait, what's your last name?" I chuckled quickly.  "Jeez Aly we barely became friends and you already want to stalk me on Social Media?" He answered with a serious expression which I just shifted uncomfortably to. "No, I uhh just" He quickly cut me off "Darling I'm kidding, Grier, Andrew Grier." My reaction quickly went from a frown to a friendly head shake. "Well Andrew Grier, I'll see you at school." I quickly exited the car while sticking my tongue out and made my way to the door before I turned around and waved a small goodbye.

That night was without a doubt one of the best nights since my tragedies began. That night I didn't sleep with worries or tears, I slept with a smile and the image of the sweetest guy ever, Andrew.
