Family - Superfamily/Spideypool

Start from the beginning

"We shouldve gotten a bigger bed," Wade says, smiling all big at me.

"This is a king. There is no bigger," I say, rolling my eyes. "Maybe we just need more planned family sleepovers so they don't feel the need to come sleep with us."

"We already have family sleepovers once a week. It's okay, I like it," he says, looking down in admiration to our beautiful family.

"Yeah, me too. Wouldn't change this for the world."

A couple hours later, after a hectic breakfast, a bit of panic trying to get everyone dressed and ready to go, and even an incident of Gabe falling down the stairs, were piled in the car. Ready to go see my dads.

Tony's POV

Seeing Peter ending up so successful after all the years of worrying he wasn't going to turn out right with me as a father, is the most rewarding thing.

Steve grins at me, just as excited to see our son and his beautiful family. We've even grown to love Wade over the years.

Finally, Friday announces their arrival. The first one to come racing into the room is Seb, followed quickly by the rest of his siblings and finally the tired looking adults.

Peter lights up when he sees us and comes bounding towards us.

"Dad! Pops!" He exclaims, throwing his arms around our necks.

"Grandpa! Papa!" Sebastian squeals hopping up and down and looking ecstatic to be here. He's loved the house since the first time he was taken here. Tyler looks exhausted, he's the shyest of the grandkids, but no doubt excited to see his grandparents.

"We've missed you around here, Pete. Family life's been treating you well?" I question once he's undertangled himself from us.

The kids are racing off to chase Dum-E through the hallway, more or less just an improved Stark version of a Roomba.

Wade half-heartedly call for them to be careful and not go anywhere they're not supposed to.

"It's been good," Peter says, sparing an adoring glance at his husband, before turning back to me with a knowing look. "Tiring, but good."

"Having just one Peter running around the house was tiring, I can't even imagine having 5 Peter's racing around," Steve says with a light-hearted chuckle. "Wade, how are you? It feels like we see you more than we see our own son at this point."

Wade FaceTimes us with the kids often. So we can see our grandkids, and once they're distracted enough, know how our kid's been.

We all wince at a crash from another room and Peter races off to take care of it. The three of us sit around the dining room table, and Wade responds.

"Yeah, I've been good. I've finished renovating our bathroom and Petey's almost officially CEO of SI, which I'm stoked for... It's almost time for the twins to start school, and I'm thinking about pursuing something once all the kids are going to be gone all day. Maybe I'll take some online University courses and do something with a degree. I don't know yet, but Peter's trying to convince me. Doesn't want me sitting around all day doing nothing. But yeah, it's nice. Human," he explains, eyes a little bit glazed over thinking about what's been going on. He snaps back into his person and smiles again.

"You know, if you two want some time off of the kids, we'd be happy to babysit anytime when you guys need a date night or anything," I say, surprised with myself. I'd normally be suggesting that to Peter, not to Wade, but he's really proved himself as a good husband and a good dad.

"Yeah, definitely. Once the kids are just a little bit older, I'm sure I'll be taking Petey out more often. At least once the twins are off to kindergarten," he says.

Peter wanders back into the room. Tyler's on his hip, koala bear hugging him. Thalia follows along behind them, carefully dodging Tyler's kicking feet. On his other side, Ellie's holding onto his hand with both of hers. Seb and Gabe race across the hall, disappearing again off to who knows where to wreak more havoc.

"Everything's fine. Nobody's hurt, nothing's broken. They just knocked a couple books onto the floor, all cleaned up now," he explains. He gives Wade a quick kiss to the cheek before turning to me and Steve. "How long until dinner? Should we be washing up?"

"Yeah, food's in the oven, almost ready," Steve responds, the one who can actually cook more than pancakes.

"Okay, you heard Papa. Find yourselves a bathroom and wash up. Gabe! Help your siblings!" He sets down Tyler and ushers them all off to find Gabe and a bathroom.

He sits down beside Wade, rubbing his eyes a little before smiling genuinely.

"How have you guys been lately?" He asks, accepting Wade's sidehug without question.

"Good. A little bored, but we're both finally getting used to the retirement life, I guess. No more superheroing, no more of Tony running a business, no more SHIELD. It's peaceful," Steve explains, smiling at me softly.

"And you? Finally decided that 5 kids is enough?" I say knowingly.

"Yeah. We're running out of room in our bed. We fall asleep just the two of us and wake up with at least 2 kids in the bed. It's pretty hectic, but it's nice. Really nice. I feel like we all deserve this after working so hard for so long to make the world safe," Peter says, blushing softly and giving an adoring look to his husband before looking up at me. "I think we all deserve the peace and family."

"You certainly do, kiddo, that's for sure. I'll go check on the kids to make sure they're doing alright with the sink, they're probably all too short. Steve, will you go check on dinner? Leave the adults alone for just a minute, they deserve it," I say, giving my son and the love of his life a smile before heading off for the grandkids.

Peter's POV

I've never been more grateful. Dinner was amazing, all the kids actually ate politely with their forks and even their knives, no fingers (until we got to the deserts, but that expected) and I was so proud of my kids and of Wade who also used his utensils politely.

Currently, Thalia is asleep on Wade's lap, Tyler on Steve's, Ellie on mine, and Seb and Gabe are leaning against Tony's sides.

We're sipping on wine and eating the cookies that Bucky had dropped off a couple days ago.

"I'm proud of you, kiddo. Never thought I'd be able to raise a kid right and yet here you are," Dad's saying, sniffing dramatically.

"Me too. I was worried I'd be a bad father, but I guess I turned out alright," I say, smiling down at the little girl in my arms.

"You turned out more than alright, sweetheart. They idolize you and they don't even know you're a hero," Wade coos, carefully shifting to kiss my temple.

Ellie stirs a little bit in my arms and i shush her quietly, running my fingers through her messy light brown hair and she instantly soothes, curling tighter into me.

Pops is smiling at me, Dad is smiling down at my kids, Wade is hugging Thalia closer to me peacefully, and life is right.
