The Patient
(Relieved)
People who knew me came to see me... right... I'm sure that will help.
(Closes eyes)
They'll know what I was like before I lost my memories. Everything will be fine tomorrow...

(Stage lights go off)

SCENE END

ACT 1 SCENE 2

(The setting is in the hospital room, day. The Patient is on the bed. Suddenly, the someone knocks the door.)

The Patient
Come in.

(The Classmate enters. He is wearing a casual suit. He walks over to The Patient with a smile on his face.)

The Classmate
(Casually while walking over)
Hey!
(Looks at The Patients condition.)
Oh good! I was worried you'd be covered in bandages like a mummy! You look better than I thought!
(Takes a seat next to the bed.)

The Patient
(Nervously)
Thank you for coming, ummm...

The Classmate
(Interrupts)
Oh yeah ,I heard you can't remember anything, right? I go to your school, we're friends, in the same class. You know, the whole class wanted to come see you but there's not enough room for everyone to be here, right? So I'm representing them.

The Patient
(Sorry)
I see, I'm sorry I can't remember you either...
(Remembers that she has to ask him about herself)
Were we particularly close?

The Classmate
(Considers her question)
Particularly? Hmmm, that's kind of a hard question to answer. Not in a bad way, you just get along with everyone easily.
( face brightens)
You're the textbook example of a model student.
(Admiration)
Amazing grades, good at sports! Even class reps look to you for advice! But you're not aloof or anything at all, and you're nice and friendly to everyone.

The Patient
(A little embarrassed)
You must be exaggerating, please tell me what I'm really like!

The Classmate
(Laughing)
I'm serious! I bet everyone in our class would say the same thing!

The Patient
(Relieved)
I'm glad to hear that's what I was like, but, I don't know if I can live up to that once I go back to school. I'm kind of nervous.
(Pinches her hair)

The Classmate
You'll be fine!
(Looks at watch)
Oh, I guess it's about time for me to go.

The Patient
(Happily)
Thank you for coming to see me, please come back again!

The Classmate
Yeah, I will. Get better soon!
(Walks off stage. The Patient smiles)

The Patient
(Happy and amazed)
Wow... So that's who I was... People do know me! I bet other people will be able to tell me even more about myself!

(Soft knocks on the door)

The Patient
(Happy)
Come in!

(The little brother enters. He is a little timid, and seems shy.)

The Little Brother
(Timid)
H-hello...

The Patient
(Excited)
Oh, are you?

The Little Brother
Yes, I'm your little brother. Hi, sis...
