Julia's disappearance spread as rapidly as a California wildfire, reaching all over my school, having students racing towards the police about the case. It was everywhere. I found my ears lingering for answers, peeking around the corner for someone who knew anything.
     Then I noticed something.
None of the officers even tried to solve the case.
I tried to fight back the growing anger for the next few weeks, until I burst with fury so much I convinced myself I was a demon.
     Oh well.
My mother started watching me everywhere I go. I even over heard her trying to buy anesthesia for me so she could probably implant a tracking device in my brain or something. I shrug off the idea and try to pay attention in class.
"Today we will be talking about the relevant topic of safety." Mr. Stënhaw rolled his eyes.
     Sighs all around.
"This is about Julia, isn't it." I thought about the way I said it. Did I seem sarcastic? Dumb? Did seem like I was the one who made Julia go missing? Oh god.
Mr. Stënhaw brought down his round glasses upon his crooked nose, "Yes."
I heard him mumble something, but it was inaudible.
