A New Beggining

Everyone says that new begginings are great, you have the chance to meet new people, and to start a new life. Well, i think all this sayings are bullshit. Being a new student is hard, you have to adapt to new rules, new mentality and of course, you have to make new friends.

My name is Lexi Hills, I'm 16 years old and I moved out from London to Chicago. I'm a shy person who doesn't want attention, I like studying and I was a A+ student at my old highschool. I didn't have many friends there, so I wasn't sad that i was leaving. I was kinda relieved. Honestly, I didn't like that highschool, it was full of mean people who think that they do the rules. Well, I was too scared to tell them it wasn't like they think.

Whatever, I have to make a new impression and to stop hiding in other people's shadow.

First day of school
Ok so this is my new highschool. Whoa. It was so big, I think i will never find my class, lol.
I walked in. Hundreds of people were on the corridor. Well, Lexi, don't panic. You'll find your class and you'll be safe there. Ok, just kidding, it wasn't that bad. On my schedule it says my class is number 68. Ok, not hard to find. I will just go to the 3rd floor. Really, this school was very, very big!
After years, I finally found my class. I met my classmates, who are really sociable and then my English teacher walked in.

Some time later, a boy came in class.
"Tyler Barnes, you finally decided to show up"
"I'm sorry I'm late, i just..Oh well, I don't have an excuse."
"As i thought, go and have a sit next to Lexi. There."
The teacher pointed his finger to me and Tyler came next to me. He was really cute. His black hair and green eyes were killing me. He was very handsome. He waved at me, so I waved back.

Tyler's Point of View
This girl was very cute but i never saw her before. I guess she was new. She seems different. I have to know her better.
"So, you're new here?"
"Oh, um.. yeah, kinda. I moved out from London.
"I see, you have an accent"
"Yeah.."
I love her accent. It makes her look hotter than she is.
"So you like this highschool so far?"
"I guess, but is very big and i'm not used to that."
Another minute of silent. She's very shy. Well, not an obstacole for me. I always get what I want.

Lexi's Point of View
He really spoke to me. I can't believe it! Tyler really spoke to me. Oh God, please wake me up!!
The bell rang so I left the class. A girl came to me.
"Hi, I'm Roxy."
"Hi, uhm.. I'm Lexi"
"Yeah, I don't care. Listen carefully, darling. If I see you again talking with Tyler, I swear, I'll make your life a hell."
"What are you talking about?"
"Don't pretend you don't know. I saw you talking to him. Tyler is mine."
"Umm.."
"Yeah, tought so. You're just a nobody who can't speak for herself. If I see you again with him.."
I just walked away. I didn't have the nerves to listen her. So he had a girlfriend. Then why the fuck did he spoke to me? I don't understand..
"Don't listen to her. She's just a slut who thinks that is the queen here, but she's not. Don't worry, she won't hurt you."
"Yeah, whatever."
"I'm Izzy, by the way."
"Lexi, nice to meet ya."
"So you're new here, right?"
"Yup, but this wasn't a great day though."
"Everyone talk about you and Tyler Barnes."
"Wtf why? He just asked me a few questions. Why everybody cares about him so much?"
"Well, he's the most popular guy from here, you know? He kinda has a reputation here."
"Oh, I didn't know.."
"Yeah, every girl loves him."
"I noticed that."
"Do you wanna have some coffee after school? Maybe I can explain to you some things."
"Sure, it will be great."
"Okay, see ya then."
The school ended so I went to the coffee shop with Izzy. She seems a good person.
"So, what do I need to know?"
"Well, first of all, don't ever listen to Roxy and her minions. She just want to scare us, but she kinda fails, lol."
"Yea, I already noticed."
"Tyler doesn't like her or something. She's been obssesed with him since the seventh grade."
"Oh, wow, that's kinda sad."
"I know, right?"
We spent the afternoon together and she showed me the city. I learned the good restaurants and bars and then we went home.
"This was a great afternoon, thank you, Izzy."
"No problem, girl, this was a pleasure."
"See you tomorrow, then."
"Yeah, bye."

When I arrived home I was thinking about Tyler. He seems a smart and cute boy. All girls are chasing him, no doubts. But I have to be more confident. Today, when I was talking to Roxy, I couldn't say anything. I truly have to change that! I can't survive if I'm shy.
