"You're Betty right?"

Betty never would have expected the 2nd most popular boy in her school asking for her number, or anyone for that matter.
You see Betty was always described with words associating with 'girth' or 'chubbiness' she never was a skinny girl, but she didn't understand why it was such a problem.

A tiny piece of her mind was wondering if he just wanted her number for homework, as most boys did. In fact, she was certain most guys thought she was a lesbian.

Betty was cut from her thoughts when she heard a loud beep, a text message beep she rarely heard. Betty smiled unlocking her phone

Jughead: heyyy Betts ❤️❤️❤️

Betty blushed to herself, god was he messing with her?

You: hi

Jughead: daaamn your gonna ditch my hearts like that? Your a player B

Betty rolled her eyes

You: I don't have anyone to be a 'player' too, plus it's 'you're'

Jughead: you have me, gonna break my
❤️ Cooper?

You: are you just using me to get to Veronica?

Betty was used to guys doing this now, after all who'd want her? Self-deprecating and 'fat', god she wanted to disappear. He hadn't text back in what felt like an hour, she probably caught him and he was currently talking to Veronica in person.

As Betty was about to lay down and give up, she heard a rhythmic scatter of rocks hit her window. She poked her head up to see Jughead-fucking-Jones hitting her window with rocks, she could almost vomit. She was suddenly very conscious of what she was wearing, which was just a cami and some pajama pants. He probably would just see her, gross out, and walk away. But she still went up to the window to yell at him.

When she looked down she saw him gathering up more rocks before turning and stopping, smiling at her.

"Betty!" He called out "come down here!"

Betty blushes and shook her head, covering her chest.

Jughead raised a brow,
"What? Unless your in an embarrassing onesie I don't care. I just wanna see you"

Betty sighed, feeling like her body was going to disappoint him before signing she'd come down.

Jughead was waiting for her when she'd opened the door, smiling lazily.

"Finally!" He announced, taking her wrist and leading her towards the sidewalk.

"Hey! Where are you taking me?" Betty asked, pointedly.

"Hey she speaks! I'm taking you to my house, it's just across." He explained, smiling that charismatic smile.

Despite the weak feeling in her knees Betty stayed her ground, "did you just want me to do homework or something?" She asked quietly, sounding almost upset to hear the answer.

An "Oh Jesus, you gotta stop doing that." broke her from her thoughts as she opened her eyes to a facepalming Jughead.

"I just wanna hang out with you Betty, no to both the questions you asked. I don't even like Veronica and I have a 4.0 GPA that was offensive" he joked, taking her hands.
