Ch. 5

Tris's POV

I wake up to the sound of my stupid alarm clock. I reluctantly get up and put on a red crop top with ruffles and black jeans. I then put my hair in a high ponytail and my usual make up.

I run downstairs and grab a muffin. "Sweetie, muffins are fattening." My mom says.

"Are you calling me fat mom?" I ask with a smile.

"No, but if you keep eating like that you will be." She replies.

"Whatever." I mumble and eat it anyways. I throw on my black flats and run out the door. I get into my car an drive away. One of my favorite songs, Problem, comes on and I start singing. I love to sing, but I don't want people to know, so I only sing when Im by myself or family. I've been told I was really good and I recorded myself and it turns out I am really good!

Once I drive into campus, I turn the music down and stop singing. I park in my usual parking spot. I am 10 minutes early so I sit in the gangs meeting place and start to read TFIOS. So far it is really good. I am at the part where Hazel and Gus are going to Amsterdam. I am very into it and then someone rudely might I ad, interrupts me.

"Oh look. The Stiffs reading. I never knew you could read." Four says. Then his friends start to laugh. I just ignore them and keep reading until I hear someone call my name.

"Tris! Come here!" Says the familiar voice of Christina.

"Coming!" I say. On my way over, Four tries to trip me but at the last minute I jump over him.

"What is it?" i ask.

"Well, those jerks took over our spot and we could tell they were bothering you." Will says.

"Oh, okay." I say.

"Wait. Are you reading 'The Fault in our Stars'?" Marlene asks me.

"Yes. And its really good." i say. We all start talking about books and even the boys are talking. The bell interrupted our conversation though. We all walked our separate ways to homeroom. Well, me Chrissy, Will, and Al are in the same homeroom so we kept talking. After Tori took attendance the bell for first period rung. The rest of the day was a blur.

"Girls, you wanna come to my house and we can get ready together?" Chrissy asks us.

"Yeah. That sounds great."we all say.

I drive home and grab my dress and heels.

"Mom, Im going to a friends house and then a party kay." I say.

"Okay, thats fine and you don't need to be hone a certain time today because its Friday." My mom says.

"Okay, love you"

"Love you too"

With that, I drive to Christina's house. She lives on 14 Candor drive. When I get there, all the girls are already there.

"Okay Tris. You can change in my room, Mar my bathroom, Shauna downstairs bathroom, Lynn upstairs bathroom and I'll change in my parents room." Chris says.

After we all get dressed we go in Christina's bathroom. I've never seen so much makeup and hair stuff. We all do each others hair and makeup and when mine is done I actually look pretty. I never thought I could be.

Im wearing a tight, strapless black dress. My hair is in tight curls a front piece is pulled back with a black bow. I have a black eye liner, black eyeshadow, mascara, and bright red lip stick.

"Wow, I look-" i am interrupted by all the girls finishing my sentence.

"Beautiful" they all say at the same time. We all smile and thats when we realize what time it is.

"Its 6:45 and it stars at 7!" Shauna shouts. We all put on our shoes and cram into Chrissy's car. When we get there, I realize I live right next to Fours house.

"Guys. I don't wanna go in." I say.

"Of course you are. Where else would you go?" Marlene says.

"Well I live right next door" i say.

"Well too bad. Your going in." Chris says. Oh well. I guess Im going in.
