Now that winter break is coming to an end, I was hoping that Mark would stop acting weird.

He didn't.

Our road trip back to New York was just as awkward as driving to Canada. This time around I just forced myself to sleep, letting Mark decide whether or not he wanted to talk to me.

Sadly he didn't.

Once we got back to New York, Mark dropped me off at my dorm. After entering my room I plopped down in my bed and began to text Lucas vigorously.

Babe!!!!!!!! I'm finally home 💕

2 hours later

Although it didn't seem like that big of a deal, I couldn't help but to wonder what Lucas was doing. Throughout winter break he went on and on about how much he missed me and how he couldn't wait to spend time with me. But now all of a sudden he's busy? Maybe I was just overthinking.

I decided to throw on some sweats and take a walk around campus. In moments like this, where I'm extremely bored, I typically go to Mark's apartment and take naps. I don't think we're in a good place to do that as of right now.

I found myself at Haechan's dorm. He shares this dorm with his two other friends Jaemin and Jeno.

"Well well well, look at what the cat dragged in." Haechan said sarcastically as I walked into his dorm.

"Nice to see you too Haechannie!" I said smiling at Haechan while he rolled his eyes.

"Shouldn't you be off making babies with Lucas?"

I couldn't help but scoff, "apparently he's too busy to make any time to see me, let alone make babies with me"

With that being said Jaemin walked out of his room and gave me a smug smile.

Sigh

Jaemin and I have a weird friendship to say the least. We use to flirt with each other a lot our freshman year, however neither of us had the balls to ask each other out. So there has always been this weird tension between us that I just can't describe.

"Hey melmel~" Jaemin cooed as he smiled genuinely.

"Hi Jae," followed by Jeno who walked in always smiling from ear to ear.

"If you guys had a girlfriend that had been out of town for almost a month, would you clear your schedule to see her when she finally returns?" Haechan asked the smiley boys.

"Of course I would, I would greet her as soon as she returns." Jaemin answered matter of factly.

"Why?" Jeno asked curiously.

"Well we have a clueless young girl here that is panicking about her 6ft dork of a boyfriend being busy doing whatever 6ft people do-"

"Hey!!" I yelled as I hit Haechan's arm, "it's just a little weird ever since New Years he's been acting a lot more distant than ever before.

"Uh-", Jeno hesitated causing the rest of our eyes to dart on him immediately.

"Spill your secrets Jeno!" Haechan yelled.

"Well... I was at a New Years party with Johnny and Ten. Then I saw Lucas hanging out with Raven. They didn't kiss or anything from what I saw, they just looked really cozy I don't know. I don't want to start any problems or anything Mel!"
