The verb to be in german is irregular and it is called "sein"
sein:
ich bin - I am/I'm
du bist - you are/you're
er/sie/es ist - he/she/it is/he's/she's/it's
wir sind - we are/we're
ihr seid- you're
sie sind - they are/they're
