~~~ Soo, here's the next part, enjoy! :) ~~~
Two other persons were brought in by other security personnel. They also had to wear those orange, prison-like overalls, so you assumed that they probably were in the exact same situation that you were in.
The three of you exchanged some suspicious yet curious glances, while being held tightly by the armed security guards.
The guards made a few calls with their radios. You couldn't really understand what they said, because they were talking in some kind of code, but it was almost obvious that they were asking for access to the chamber.
Everything fell quiet for a moment and you grew more nervous again. You felt some kind of uneasy exhausting strain going on in this room and wondered if the other two felt the same.
They sure look stressed as hell.
You thought while looking at them once more.
Finally the silence broke as the guards got the permission to let you enter the testing chamber.
The big door opened slowly and revealed a mostly empty room. There was absolutely nothing but walls and a strange sculpture leaning against one of them. It didn't move. It didn't do anything but look at the three of you with its strangely painted "face".
The guards forced all of you into the room, without entering it themselves, then the doors closed and someone gave you advices on how to act via speaker.
It was always the same scheme of testing.
You were told to maintain direct eye contact with this thing, as well as too arrange with each other and to inform each other before blinking, looking away from it and so on. They referred to it as "SCP-173".
You didn't really know what to make out of this situation, as all three of you stood there and stared at the sculpture, wondering about what'd happen to you if you looked away. At first none of you was willing to find out.
The other two people were a male and a female class D.
The female stood next to you , in the middle, and the male stood next to her on the left.
No one made a move, as no one trusted this situation. The female turned to you, her eyes still locked on the sculpture.
"What is this... thing?!", she whispered towards you, probably being as afraid as you were at this moment.
"I... I don't know...", You whispered back to her, also maintaining eye contact with the creature.
You stood there doing absolutely nothing, but staring at the SCP for a while.
Nothing happened. The sculpture didn't do anything. It was suspiciously silent here.
A few minutes passed by, nothing happened. Another 5 minutes passed by. Nothing.
Then the male class D spoke up.
"I think they're kiddin' us. This sculpture's not gonna do anything, they're just making fun of us.", he said annoyed. Then he stepped forward and quickly approached SCP-173.
"See?", he said as he touched the creature's face. Then he turned around to look at the two of you.
"No! I have to get out of here!", the female class D said panicking. She tried rattling and pushing on the chamber's door.
"This isn't going to go out well. Something's gonna happen...!", she cried.
It seemed like she was totally out of mind at this moment. Maybe she was claustrophobic or something?
You were the only one looking at the SCP now. You don't want to know what'd happen if you didn't maintain the eye contact with this thing.
Your heart pounded like crazy and you felt dizzy, knowing you were the only one who took the possible danger seriously.
Then, without even thinking about it, you blinked. In this moment you heard a snapping sound, followed by another one.
When your eyes were open again, you were absolutely terrified.
You saw two dead bodies laying on the ground. And if this want bad enough, the sculpture had moved.
Now it stood right before you. Looking you directly in the eye.
"D-5330, please keep direct eye contact with SCP-173.", a voice told you through speaker.
You walked backwards, always keeping your gaze on it. You were next...
That can't be the end!, you thought.
Then suddenly a voice sounded via speaker saying that the testing had ended.
And right in this moment the door opened again and two guards pulled you out of the chamber, before it was closed again.
Why did they end the testing now? You wondered. It's not like they'd care if I died here, right?
Even the security staff seemed puzzled about the sudden cancellation.
You saw scientific staff on the metal platform now. They looked puzzled as well. Something was going on here, you just couldn't make out what it was.
Had it something to do with you?
At the moment you were just glad, you could go back to your cell and think about everything that happened today.
The shock still sat deep in your bones and it would take a while to recover from it, even though you didn't really know those other two people.
The way back to your cell seemed really sorry all of a sudden. And when you went in, one of the security guards told you that you'll probably get back to testing the old computer again the next day.
~~~ What will happen next? ~~~
