growing up.

chapter 2

7 months later.

"You ready?" Jay asked excitedly.

Today is Louis' first day of pre-school and he is very excited. Jay walked him out to her car, buckled themselves in and then drove to the Styles' house. This is the first year Louis gets to go to school with Gemma as well, which makes him even more excited. They pulled into their driveway and got out of the car, walking towards the front door. Before having a chance to knock, the door opened and little Gemma was standing there with her pink backpack on, ready for school.

"Hi, Gemma!" Louis yelled, giving Gemma a big hug.

"Louis!" Gemma yelled, hugging Louis back.

"You two cuties ready?" Anne said with a smile on her face as she walked up to the two giggling kids.

"Yep!" Gemma said, standing up straight and tall.

"Hi, Harry." Louis said to the little boy in Anne's arms, sticking his finger out and letting him hold his finger.

Harry smiled at louis and made some little noise that no one could understand. Anne then ducked down so Louis could reach the baby and Louis gave his little hand a kiss and then pulled his finger away gently from Harry's hand.

Jay put both of the kids in her car and drove them to their school. Once they arrived, they all got out of the car and Louis immediately grabbed Gemma's hand.

"Mummy." Louis said in a worried tone. "I'm scared." He said.

"It'll be okay, baby I promise. Mummy is right here." She said, getting to Louis' level.

As they stepped up to the front of the school, they decided to dropped Gemma off to her classroom first. Gemma immediately noticed two of her friends from last year and ran up to them, hugging both of them at the same time.

"Gemma you stay here okay?" Jay said.

"Okay." Gemma replied.

Jay then gave her a smile and wave and walked off with Louis to find his classroom. Once they arrived in the classroom, she found the table that he sits at and he sat down in it.

"You're gonna do awesome, okay?" She said, sticking her hand out for a high-five.

He didn't reply, but gave her a high-five back and smiled a little. Jay hung out with Louis until it was time to leave. She gave him a big hug and then walked out of the room, heading to her car.

The day went by pretty fast for everyone, especially Louis. He had the best first day of pre-school he could ever have. He made a new friend named Calvin and really enjoys his classmates and teacher.

When school was over, Anne was there to pick up both Louis and Gemma. She went to Louis' class first. When she walked into the classroom she immediately saw Louis, being the rowdy little kid he is, running around the room with his little red backpack on.

"Anne!" Louis yelled as he noticed her standing by the door waiting for him. "Harry!" Louis ran up to Harry who was in Anne's arms and immediately started making funny faces at the baby, making him laugh.

The three of them walked to Gemma's classroom and saw her waiting by the door like the very calm, patient kid that she is.

"Mummy!" She said running up to her mom, only being tall enough to give her mom's legs a hug.

The four then walked out of the school, got in the car, and drove to Anne's house.

Louis got to sit next to Harry in the car which made him very happy. Louis could only make Harry laugh in a special way that really no one else could. The whole ride, Louis constantly made little faces at the baby, making them both giggle. Harry also had his small hand gripped onto Louis' the whole car ride. Something that Louis really likes a lot.

Once they arrived at Anne's house, they all got out of the car and headed inside. Both of Louis' parents work late. Jay works at the local hospital and gets off at around 9 and Mark owns his own business and always has to stay at work til 11. But Louis doesn't really mind because he gets to hang out with Gemma and Harry.

Gemma and Louis immediately ran inside, going up to her room to go play with her toys. They were probably up there for about an hour before Anne called them down to come eat dinner. When they came downstairs, Harry was already at the table in his high chair and Anne and Des were in the kitchen preparing the food. The two small kids walked up to the table and Gemma had to help Louis get up in his chair because of how small he is. Louis absolutely loved tonights dinner. #1, because they had his favorite food, pasta and #2, because he got to sit next to Harry.

For the next few hours, they all chilled out around the house, watching tv and playing. Around 7, Harry had to go to bed which makes Louis sad. Anne came out of her room, finishing putting Harry in his pajamas and set him on the couch where Louis and Gemma were to say goodnight. Gemma grabbed her baby brother and gave him a big kiss on the forehead.

"Goodnight Harry." She said.

Anne picked Harry up and then set him gently on Louis' lap. Louis gave him a soft hug and a small kiss on his brown, curly hair.

"Goodnight 'arry." He said, letting go of him so Anne could take him. "I love you."

Anne smiled at the two and picked up Harry's hand, waving it at the two.

About 30 minutes after Anne put Harry to bed, both Louis and Gemma fell asleep on the couch, snuggled together, sharing a blanket.

Jay arrived about an hour later to pick up Louis. She walked into the house to see her small son snuggled on the couch with his best friend. She thanked Anne and picked Louis up, along with his backpack and carried him out to the car. She put the sleeping boy in his carseat and placed a small, soft, blue blanket on top of him, which was left in the car and placed a small kiss on top of his head before hopping in the car and starting it up.

After about 8 minutes of driving, they finally made it home at around 9:30. Jay turned the keys, shutting off the car and hopped out to get Louis out of his carseat.

The sleeping boy didn't even budge while his mom unbuckled the straps on the seat. She carried him in her arms, with his small blanket wrapped around him. When she walked into the house, she immediately walked her and her son up the stairs and entered Louis' room, where she gently laid him down in his crib. Without being too rough, she grabbed a pair of pajamas out of his small drawer and placed them on his body without waking him. She then leaned down to softly rub the top of his head and leave a kiss on his forehead.

"Goodnight my beautiful angel." She said, walking out of his room, shutting the light off.
