this is a general rule for all fanfics, but when it comes to writing your story grammar is extremely important!
lack of good grammar can cause your story to appear unprofessional and immature, which we do not want! so i, daphne, ur grammar guru, am here to help you!
1. capitalization! i know what ur thinking daphne ur not capitalizing rn shut up. well if ur just talking like this then imo it's fine! but if you're writing a full fleshed fanfic you should always use capitalization! i always do this, because it just makes your story look ten times nicer. if you'd rather not use caps for your story that's fine, it just makes it a bit less professional looking.
2. proper punctuation! this is a huGe pet peeve of mine! i don't know how to properly explain this without sounding like a full on english teacher, so if you have questions about ur punctuation just comment them here and i'll help you!
3. paragraphs! DO NOT MAKE YOUR CHAPTERS ONE LONG PARAGRAPH!!! this is very important!! you start a new paragraph when there's a new speaker or a subject change! this is a simple rule to remember! stories that are one big paragraph are such a turnoff! so plEASE desperate your paragraphs!
4. your vs you're! goodness this annoys me. i used to make this mistake a lot so don't worry lmao. your is POSSESSIVE! you're is the conjugated form of you are! you wouldn't say "your pretty" because im pretty sure you can't OWN a pretty! and you wouldn't say "you're cat" because you don't say you are cat. it's a simple concept!
that's pretty much it i can't think of any more grammar advice for you guys. just please remember these things while writing your voltron fanfics!
