~Clarke's POV~
It has been three days since we hurtled towards Earth in the dropship, I haven't slept throughout this time period. Someone had to tend to the injured... didn't they? Luckily, I have Bellamy Blake to help me, he's been so helpful with hunting and training the boys to protect us, all for his little sister. I glanced over at his sister, Octavia, who was sleeping, she had hurt her ankle in the crash and I made her stay in bed for a while. I enjoyed her presence, she was quite funny, plus she was the reason Bellamy had to come to the medical tent. I heard the tent flap open and turned from watching Octavia to see him, Bellamy Blake, standing there as his gaze fell on his sister. "Hey Clarke, how is she?" His low voice making me catch my breath, it'd been that way since the beginning. I gazed at him before I realized I was staring and then mumbled "She's doing much better, if you'll allow her, she should be able to join patrols in less than a week." I smiled meekly at him with a gentle shrug, I knew this was a solemn time but I had to try to ease the seriousness a little. He nodded silently before reaching into his pack and pulling out a bundle of what I hope was herbs. "Here... I just wanted to say thank you for taking such good care of my sister." Bellamy handed me the bundle before going to turn away, I grabbed his arm before he could leave though. "Bellamy, thank you for taking care of everyone and helping me..." my voice was quiet and soft, almost genuine. He gave me another brief nod which oddly enough irked me quite a bit. I watched Bellamy leave, his hair catching the light in just the right spot. Almost immediately after I turned to change the dressing on Octavia's ankle, the girl was staring up at me. "Clarke, what's up with you and Bellamy?" She asked smirking slightly, she had been a flirty one since they'd landed here. "N-Nothing, he's just helping out while you're resting." My face was the color of a cherry tomato and I looked away, I didn't like him. However, I did need him. He has helped me protect the others for the short time we have been here, he has even helped me bury the ones who did not survive the crash, including my cellmate and best friend. He was my co-leader and without him I would likely be lost, especially with some of the other kids that wanted to over power me. I sighed and decided to sit down next to Octavia rather than kneel there. Her eyes followed me however and as she spoke a look of concern spread across her face. "Clarke when was the last time you ate, or slept, or gotten something to drink?" I gave her a suspicious look, scowling at her with a look of frustration, "Well, I haven't slept since we crashed, I can't remember if I've had anything to eat, and we don't have enough water to supply everyone with a drink." Octavia looked worried but I brushed it off as I gave her an extra blanket I had found under one of the seats of the drop ship. I sat there for a while, waiting for her to fall asleep again before, I myself, blacked out.
~Bellamy's POV~
After I stopped into the Medical tent to check on my little sister and to also visit Clarke, I went to help tend to the fire. Though, I thought my head would be plagued with thoughts of Octavia, it was not. Instead, Clarke was the image that remained in my mind. Her face was caked in dirt and blood and she had a gash just above her right brow. It irritated me that she wouldn't care for herself as she was the others, but it also kind of made sense to me. It was like how I cared for Octavia, I kind of respected her for that. Her blonde hair was dirty and looked ratty and she had these dark bags under her eyes that I was sure I was the only one who noticed. I wish she would rest, we care for these kids together, yet she seems to have forgotten herself. My mind finally began to drift back to Octavia, I had never intended for her to get hurt. I know that she will likely be punished for my actions but I needed to be with my sister. She had looked so peaceful when I walked in on her resting, I'm glad Clarke is keeping her in bed, knowing her she would've been trying to run with the others before she could properly walk. I decided it would be best to go looking for wood alone, many of the kids were too busy observing the foliage to even notice that I was leaving. Slipping out of the camp, I trailed through the forest looking for more wreckage as I collected smaller branches, I was more searching for more medical supplies but had to make it appear as though my search wasn't completely pointless. I ran a hand through my hair feeling the sweat gather between my fingers with a grimace, when had any one of these kids last showered? I hadn't showered in about a week and I could only guess it had been longer for them seeing as they were contained before they were sentenced to Earth, I was merely a tag along. Snapping back to reality, I saw a pile of metal in the distance and rushed towards it even with the sun setting in the distance, if I had to, I would gladly make camp here for the night. I started sprinting with what little adrenaline I had left and collapsed by the pile of metal, Even after 3 days it still hadn't cooled properly so I was careful in lifting the pieces off of it, hoping to find something underneath. To my surprise and excitement, I found gauze and anti-infection spray, Clarke would be beyond thrilled. I gathered the supplies putting in my bag and gathering some extra rations I found. Then finishing packing up, I stood swaying slightly from exhaustion and began my trek back to camp, feeling as though something was watching me. But, in these woods, something probably was keeping an eye on me. Nearing camp, I could hear the chatter of the kids as they all sat around the fire laughing and eating, I brushed past them however. "Clarke?" I called walking into the medical tent, not seeing her at first. Then, I looked down and saw her collapsed, she hadn't intended to end up where she was obviously... "CLARKE!!!" I yelled shaking her and checking her head, it appeared as though her cut had become infected because she had a mild fever, maybe even a concussion. "Clarke... please wake up..." I murmured moving her onto one of the sleeping bags and covering her up, hoping she would be okay. I also hoped my commotion hadn't drawn the attention of the people gathered by the fire, I looked for a clean rag and the basin of water before gently beginning to wipe her face and whispering, "Clarke... Wake up.. I need you."
~So that's the first part of this story, I'd like to know what you think. I haven't been very good at fanfiction and I thought I'd give this a shot, I also would like ideas on how to improve and what other characters should become part of the main plot besides Octavia, Clarke, and Bellamy. Hope you enjoy, and leave any feedback! Thank you for your support as I have grown to love Bellamy and Clarke as co-leaders and as partners. Sincerely, your author and friend, Sarah~
