"Stop!" I screamed. He wouldn't. If I had known that this was going to happen I would have fought harder; I had bad feeling something was going to happen but I let them talk me into going to that stupid party. The party that I would never forget; could never forget.
*Flashback*
"Come on Isak, you have to go it's gonna be huge!" my friend George said to me. He was trying to get me to go to a party that a bunch of seniors were throwing. I'm still not even sure how he got invited to this considering we are sophomores. As much as I really didn't want to go I knew they weren't going to let me get away with staying at home watching horror movies by myself like I wanted.
"Promise not to leave me alone?"
"Promise."
And I, being me, believed he wouldn't.
---
I was just getting ready to go to this stupid party. I would so much rather stay home and watch some horror movie. Maybe The Conjuring or IT. But no. I had to go to this stupid party because George didn't want to go alone.
Even though I didn't necessarily want to go didn't mean I wasn't going to try and make an effort in my outfit. I was wearing my favorite boot cut blue jeans that had a few rips by the knees and thighs. My plain black t-shirt fit me well around my lithe torso. I finished it all off with my cowboy boots.
The party was supposed to start at 8 pm but George showed up to get me at my house at around 8:25. "It's called being fashionably late" is what he said. I thought it was a dumb excuse. I just wanted this to all be over and done with.
By the time we got to the house the party was being held in, it was nearly 9 pm and in full swing. It was a stereotypical high school party that you would see on TV. People grinding on each other, the music deafening, the smell of sweat and alcohol. I just wanted to leave.
---
George left me about twenty minutes ago. He broke his promise like I knew he would but hoped he wouldn't.
I would just go home and call it a night but he was my ride and if I couldn't find him then I was stuck here 'til he found me.
When we first got here, I went to get a drink. I didn't want to end up both George and I drunk and driving so I refrained from drinking anything with alcohol in it just in case he drank too much then we can at least drive safely. Although, without anything to help calm me, my anxiety of being so close to people I didn't know without at least one familiar face was through the roof.
I had been looking around for George for another nearly ten minutes looking around everywhere I thought he could be. Outside by the pool? No. Upstairs? Not going up there again. I decided to just give up and wait by the truck when I felt like someone was watching me. Like someone was staring at me.
Looking around, I didn't see anyone so I just picked my pace up a little and walked faster trying to get outside to George's 2005 black Chevrolet Silverado .
Next thing I knew there was someone grabbing me from behind and I was being dragged up the stairs that I was passing and then everything went black.
