S1 | Trouble in Lumpy Space

They turn around and smile, "That's so close! We can run there in no.." But as they got closer, their destination was farther away than expected, "...time. Aww, what?!! It's, like, a million-mile fall into space!" Screamed Finn.

He looked over at (Y/n), "Hey (N/n)," She turned her head over, "Yeah?"

"Can't you make a bridge with your waterbending powers or something?" She looked down at her water sachet to only see it empty. She sighs, "Shoot, I forgot to refill it this morning, sorry Finn."

"It's fine."

"Even if she had her water with her, it wouldn't work in my world. You have to travel by car in my world or else you'll fall into the Lumpy Abyss." Suddenly, a car pulls up at her house, "Daughter!!" They all turn around to see Lumpy Space Princess' Father, also known as the King, "Have you brought smooth people into our domain?!"

Lumpy Space Princess lets out a loud groan as she crosses her arms, "I had to, Dad... I'm trying to help them, so don't lumping yell at me!"

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?! What did you say?!?" The King turns his body around to reveal Lumpy Space Princess' Mom, the Queen, "I SAID, "LUMP OFF," MOM!!!" 

The princess starts yelling in gibberish anger, then pants heavily. "Uh..." Finn approaches her, "WHAT?!?!" She turns around at Finn. "Vroom vroom??"

"Oh, yeah," She shifts to her parents, "I need to borrow the car." The King glares and holds his wife in his arms, as the Queen starts to sob, "You have made your mother cry for the last time, daughter! You are hereby banned from using the royal car!" They float over to their house, open the door, and slam it shut.

"Shucks! I lumping hate them! I'm really, really sorry you guys. But I can't help you because my parents are horrible idiots." She hissed, "Don't you know anyone else with a car?" (Y/n) asked. "My friend Melissa has a car. But she's dating my ex-boyfriend Brad." Lumpy Space Princess responses.

"Call her NOW." Both Finn and (Y/n) asserted, in a frustrated tone. "Hmm." She pulls out her cellphone and mumbles to it, "Call BFF 66."

Elsewhere, Melissa's phone rings as she fixes her lumpy hair, "Hello?" She answers.

"Hey, Melissa. What's up?" The phone soon gets filled by the sound of Melissa screaming and shouting at LSP through the phone. "What's she saying?" Finn inquiries. Lumpy Space Princess turns to the human boy, "I'm asking her, jeez! Melissa, just listen!"

"Have you forgotten what day it is?!"
"Melissa. I'm trying to help out some friends."
"Tonight is the weekly Promcoming Dance!"

Lumpy Space Princess' face drops, "Oh, Glob. I forgot." Immediately, Finn and (Y/n)'s head shoots up at the tone of her voice, "What'd she say?"

"Tonight is the weekly Promcoming Dance!" She goes back to her phone in excitement, "It's gonna be so flipping awesome!"

Finn exasperated, "LSP, we don't have time for this. Ask for the ride, LSP." It was no use though, as she was glued to her phone, still talking to her friend. He sighs and nudges (Y/n)'s shoulder, "Help me." (Y/n) nods as she looks over at the princess.

"Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh--" (Y/n) snatches her cellphone from her hands. LSP continues to say "oh" a couple of times until she realizes her phone is missing. "Wha?!"

(Y/n) brings the phone to her ear as she tries to imitate Lumpy Space Princess, "Melissa, " Lumpy Space Princess tries to retrieve her phone, but Finn stops her by trying to hold her back, "you should totally drive us to Makeout Point to make out with hot boys!"

"LSP, you're so baaaaad... be there in a sec!"

"Biyah." (Y/n) hangs up as Finn lets go of Lumpy Space Princess. "Hmm." She grabs back her phone and gives them a look before putting it away, "Sorry. But Jake's lumpiness is worsening!" (Y/n) tells.

"Actually, I think I'm beating it back with sheer willpower!" Part of Jake's head bulges up, "Oh my," Jake forces the lump back into his body. The princess lets out a sigh, "Yeah, whatever. Just don't mess with my phone again."

In seconds, Melissa arrives in her car, "Hi!" She drives down and hits Finn, knocking him over, "Ugh... OK! Let's go, let's go, let's go!" He hurried as he pushes Jake and (Y/n) into the back seat of the car.

 Lumpy Space Princess opens the passenger seat door and sits herself down. Once everyone is settled down, Melissa starts driving her car. As they ride off, Melissa changes the radio to Electronic music.

Jake whines, "Aw, guys, this music ducks right?" Jake shakes his head as a lumpy accent kicks in, "Ah. I love this song. We should totally TP Shandala's house!" Jake shakes his head again as his normal voice comes back, "Gracious! That was terrible! Guys, if you can't save me from the lumps... if I do turn... if I become lumpy like them, I want you to--"

The two interrupt him as they bring him in an embrace, "It's not gonna come to that." (Y/n) starts, "But if it does, We'll bury you beneath the nicest, most shadiest tree!" Finn finishes until Jake breaks the embrace, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! I'm saying that If I go totally lumpy, then I want you guys to get used to lumpy Jake. What did you guys think I was sayin'?"

Jake raises a brow, eyeing them. "Oh, um..." (Y/n) chuckles rigidly, "Heh heh," She turns towards Melissa and shouts, "CAN'T THIS CAR GO ANY FASTER?!"
