"I'm sorry for yours and Thomas's loss, but what ever happened to Sammie and Willow? They are OK, right?" Cat opened her mouth, but seemed to struggle for an explanation. She looked over at Minho and Jeongin, who looked about as clueless as I felt. Sighing, she snapped her fingers. Woojin walked in with a clipboard clutched in his hands. His eyes were glued to whatever he was reading.

"Sammie's condition is stable, but the bullet entered at a very critical spot. Unfortunately, the bullet is lodged near her spine which could cause for some casualties if we do a surgery. To add onto that, if something in the surgery goes wrong she could have permanent paralysis in an area of her body." He explained, licking his lips as he finished. The information washed over me.

"So. . .you're saying, or were trying to say, Sammie was shot? She was. . .shot?!" I repeated my words, stumbling over them. Cat's face flushed as she nodded, motioning for another figure at the door to enter the room. The familiar figure of Willow trudged through the doors, her head hanging low and her makeup splotched below her eyes. It was obvious she had been crying.

"I'm afraid she was. She. . .oh god (Y/N) Sammie looks terrible!" Willow sobbed, snot dripping from her nose. Changbin hurried her out, mumbling comforting words to her as she choked on her cries. So many emotions flickered through my body as I stared at Cat. She looked so guilty, and yet I wanted to hate her. It was her fault this had happened to them. If it weren't for her, then Sammie would be OK. I finally felt that bubble of rage explode from inside me.

"How could you?! It's all your fault that she's hurt!! We could've been fine still working at the labs, but NO! What could have been so important that you had to kidnap not just me, but Sammie and Willow, huh?! What is it! Stop staring at the ground and answer me!!" I screamed, tears streaming down my face. Minho, Jeongin, and Woojin had all been startled by my sudden outburst. Cat continued staring at the ground, her own tears dripping off her nose and falling onto the grey linoleum floor.

"They were planning something for you and the girls, (Y/N). They wanted to get rid of you if you got too close. . .I just couldn't let that happen. You were getting close to some of their files. . .you know, the ones you've been secretly hacking? You didn't think we'd figure it out, huh?" I was surprised by the confrontation. Even the reader didn't know about this!

"We know you've been going through some secret files of JYP Labs. I wasn't going to do anything, but when I overheard Cole, Amber, and Theo discussing what they should do about you, I just. . .I had to act. They were planning on taking out Sammie and Willow as well just in case they were accomplices."

"But they didn't even know! I told none of you anything!" I cried, throwing my arms up in the air. My heart beat rapidly in my chest. Maybe it wasn't Cat's fault. Could have possibly been my fault all this happened? Do I dare go that far?

"I know, I know. But they didn't know that. It's a business thing, (Y/N). Get rid of the problem and it's roots, then continue on with your life. Sad but true. The files you found; well let's just say I'm rather impressed. You got so close to getting into them, that it had Theo on the edge of his seat. Those files are the reason there is a rebellion against JYP. Those files are the reason Stray Kids, "She motioned to the now filled room with the nine boys, "And many others are fighting."

I looked over each of the boys, desperately searching for some sign of guilt. That guilt would prove that this was all a big lie, and I could report it to the police. It would prove this might not be my fault. Slowly, my heart sank like a stone into my stomach as I took in each of the boys gazes. They all looked determined, like soldiers. Jeongin even offered me a small smile. My lips parted slightly as I returned my look back to Cat.

"What exactly are in those files, Cat?" I questioned, my voice barely above a whisper. It felt wrong to break through the determination in the room with a loud question. Cat pursed her lips and fiddled with the hard drive.
