Halloween Party

Chapter one

It was a crisp october day in ottawa, the trees a various shades of crimson and orange. The leaves falling on the pavement of Elmwood highschool crunch beneath the busy students feet. As the lunch bell rang, the students rushed to the courtyard to gather with their friends to talk about this and that. At a table not too far from the doors sat Noah, reading a book and munching on his lunch while listening to Courtney argue Harold over something he had no interest in. "Hey Noah, " rang a familiar voice, it was Cody, Noah's boyfriend, "What're you reading?" cody asked while leaning his head onto noahs shoulder. "Farenheit four fifty one, ive read it like eight times but its one of my favorites." Noah said as he rest his head against Cody's, who was trying to steal some of noahs food. "Isnt that the book where they burn books or something?" cody questioned as he popped a few baby carrots in his mouth. "Yes, thats a rather simple way to put it i guess" the sarcastic boy remarked, which made cody smile a little to himself, before cody could say anything though, Geoff came rushing to the table. "Guys! Guess who's throwing the most epic halloween party this friday!" the party dude exclaimed. "Dude no way, your parents are letting you throw a halloween party?" the gentle giant known as Dj asked, "Nah man, my parents are going to be out of town until sunday, so i have the whole house to myself! Might as well throw an awesome party while theyre gone!" Geoff replied with a huge grin on his face.
"That sounds awesome! Will there be snacks?" Owen questioned while shoving the rest of his lunch into his mouth. "Totally bro! What kind of party would it be without some killer snacks!" replied Geoff, "Oh! I almost forgot, theres going to be a costume contest! The best costume wins! Theres going to be an awesome prize for the winner!" explained the blonde dude, "Gee, thanks for the explanation on how costume contests work, genius" Noah said sarcastically, which earned a nudge from codys elbow, "That sounds great Geoff, i cant wait!" cody exclaimed with a huge smile on his face, which noah thought was the most amazing smile he'd ever seen in his life. "Sweet! Alright im gonna go tell everyone about my sick party, i'll catch you guys later!" and with that Geoff got up from the lunch table and ran off into the school. "Guys this is gonna be so fun! I have no idea what im gonna wear though, i dont have my costume yet." uttered Beth, "Every since i was a kid, my mama has always made my costumes, this year im going to be a dragon" Dj explained. "That pretty cool, but as cool as mine, i'm going to be a ninja, i already have the mad skills for it." Harold said while pulling out his nunchucks and swinging them around a bit before they came crashing into his stomach. "Yeah well, it doesnt matter how cool your costumes are," Courtney started, "all the guys will vote for the girl with the sluttiest outfit, so why bother." At that a few of the girls nodded in agreement,but the guys were a little confused. "Why does it matter if a girl is wearing a revealing costume?" cody asked, cocking his head to the side a little. "Because men are always objectifying women! A girl showing a liitle skin has more of chance at winning than any cool costume would." the freckled brunette muttered."What if one of the guys wore a skimpy costume?" noah sarcastically remarked while looking up from his book, "Then the ladies would have some competition." a grin appearing on his face as he said this. "Thats actually not a bad idea," Gwen started, "but what guy would willingly wear a sexy costume?" at that everyone got quiet, all thinking about what gwen ha said. Suddenly tyler spoke up, "Id do it, i mean only if someone else would too."  everyone was staring at tyler, a few people chuckled, I'd totally do it with you tyler." trent said, making duncan raise his eyebrow and gwen to cover her mouth from smilling. "Well damn, i didnt think anyone would actually want to do it." noah uttered as he put his book down, at this cody got an idea. "I suppose if other guys are going to do it, i will too." the gap toothed boy said, while his face turn red. Noah turned to look at his boyfriend, "Really? You actually want to dress like that?" he asked while a small blush crept onto his face, its not that he has anything against the idea of cody in a skimpy outfit, its just a little shocking that he actually wants to. "Well yeah, i mean girls dress like that all the time, so why not." before noah could reply he was cut off by sadie squeling, "Oh em gee, justin! You should totally do it too!" she exclaimed cheerily, "Eeeee! Sadie thats a totally awesome idea!" sadies other half, Katie said while hugging her best friend. "Well i suppose i could." justin replied, smilling at the girls, who started blushing like crazy at the handsome brunette."Okay then, well i suppose this party is going to be realy interesting." Bridgett said, while standing from the table, as the bell began to ring. " Thats one way to put it." Noah said as he put his book in his bag and walked to class with cody.
