Prologue

Everyone thinks having superpowers and being a hero would be the best thing to ever happen to them. Lemme tell ya, it's not; well, at least not alone that is.

 Every single hero movie ever made, the protagonist has at least one person helping them. Me, on the other hand, I've got no one. I live alone, all my friends and family are on the other side of the country, and I'm pretty sure everyone at my college hates me. I guess it's not that bad, I mean, it's at least 60% easier to not have someone bad figure out your secret identity.

 So yeah... I know it's not like an epic, tragic backstory where my family dies and I use my powers to avenge them and destroy whoever killed them but hey, I'm interesting.

 And you don't even know my superpowers yet.
