We were in the middle of a battle field. A war zone. It was between Skikrew and the Grounders. Ever since the 100 landed on Earth in that first dropship we knew we weren't wanted here. The human race had survived for almost 100 years in space on the Arc after the bombing on Earth let out toxic gasses that were supposedly not survivable. When the chancellor sent 100 criminals down to Earth to see if it was habitable, we soon found out we weren't alone. Since we landed in their territory there have been many minor fights. Today was different. Today was a war. I didn't know much about why we finally decided to battle to the death but I did know that we needed to get out of there and fast. Luckily Skikrew had a plan to escape to an underground bunker that had been discovered by the chancellor. No one knew how long we'd be in there for but it was a chance for people to live a life where they didn't need to be afraid of a grounder hiding around the corner ready to strike. I knew that as soon as we got to that bunker we'd all be safe and out of this mess.
'Clarke come on we haven't got much time!' My mum was yelling out at me from behind the tree as she held a cloth tightly onto the injured. There was only a certain amount of time the bunker was going to be open before they shut the door, locking out the grounders and everyone who was outside. I knew I had to get out of here. To get to safety and live somewhat normally with my mum for the first time since the dropship landed. There was, however, one problem. I look over in the other direction and see Bellamy hunched over, shielded behind a rock as blood flows out of an injured leg along side his arm, barely working. I knew that if I carried him across the field with everyone else we wouldn't make it back to the bunker in time. But I had to do something. We've been through to much for me to just let him die out here.
'Mum listen to me, you need to keep full pressure on his wound and get to the bunker. Once you get there Jackson will take care of him.' I paused to take in what I was about to do before continuing. 'Don't wait for me.' I finally said.
'Clarke! No there's still time.' She screamed frantically towards me but it was to late. I had made up my mind and before I knew it I was right back in the middle of the battle field. As the bullets and arrows flew past I stopped to take cover behind some trees before finally ending up crouched down beside Bellamy.
