"Happy birthday!" everyone screams raising their cups in the air as Hayes walks in. He smiles but doesn't look around the crowd, he just walks straight to me.

"You look amazing." Hayes says checking me out I wave his comment off.

"You don't look so bad yourself." he smiles and kisses my cheek. Then I see Deborah pull her arm from Carter's and walk away. My blood boils.

"So you invite Deborah." Hayes laughs

"Yeah why not, I mean, Taylor and Mel are here we are here. Carter should be allowed to bring his girlfriend." I shutter at the word girlfriend.

"Fine I understand." Hayes sighs.

"Darling please don't be like that, it's us, okay just focus on me." I smile as Hayes lifts my chin to look at him, his blue eyes brilliant.

"How could I not."

Mel's pov

"Here, I thought I'd grab you one while they lasted." Cameron says handing me a vanilla cupcake. "I know how you don't like the chocolate ones." I smile and take the cupcake.

"This is like a little peace offering?" I ask and he shrugs shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Look, I don't regret what I did." I look at him and laugh.

"Cameron, you can't just kiss me, I have a boyfriend, I love him and we are happy."

"You can't lie that you didn't like it." He says quietly. My eyes go wide.

"Cameron, it doesnt matter if I did or didn't." he smiles and shakes his head chuckling.

"Okay Mel, you may be able to lie to Taylor, but I know you too well. You can't hide from me." I gulp and continue eating the cupcake, avoiding responding.

"I love you and you just need to remember that." I scoff.

"Yeah sure you do. You were an asshole to me, you aren't the only one who loves me so don't feel so special." I walk away before I can hear anything else he has to say.

I pass by carter, who is yet again alone.

"Where is your girlfriend." he shrugs.

"I don't know, she's somewhere." my jaw drops.

"You don't think she's in a photo both kissing some guy." carter crosses his arms and I know what I say gets the gears in his head turning.

"No because in a relationship you have trust." he says simply

"Yeah well there's such a thing like too much trust." Carter takes my hand smiling.

"Look if I wanted relationship advice from someone like you I'd ask one of the bachelorette girls on tv." I yank my hand from his grip.

"Fuck you, you don't even deserve a girlfriend, let alone jodie. You're an ass." I storm off and I feel over heated.

When I wrap my arms around Taylor his muscle tee exposing his sides. His skin is blissfully cool against my heated hands.

"God." I mutter and Taylor nods.

"I know your hands are like little balls of fire." I giggle and shake my head.

"It's only because I'm angry." Taylor tenses.

"What did he do to you, carter, what did he say?"

Taylor starts to walk forward but my hands press flat against his chest.

"Taylor, it's alright. Carter is just being a dick." Taylor takes my hands in his and wraps my arms tighter around him.

"Stay away from him, I want you safe." I chuckle.

"Carter isn't a monster. Besides he's like my brother, I can't just abandon him." Taylor sighs and settles his chin on my head.

"Just don't take what he says to heart baby. He isn't the same, when Hayes beat his ass, he screwed him up. He's all shady now." I frown.

"I wish everything was calm. And not all separated." Taylor shrugs.

"I think we all wish everything was normal."

"Maybe coming on this tour was a bad idea." Taylor shakes his head.

"No, it was brilliant, because each day I'm getting even closer to you." I know you better than anyone else." I smile. Cameron's words replay in my mind.

"You know what you're right. Lets go celebrate." I say taking his hand and leading us to the dance floor. He kisses my lips and then smiles.

"You've got some sweet lips." I laugh and shake my head.
