This poem shows my patriotism. It was actually written during my service year. I love my country so much that i cant help but express it into words. I was in a platoon then and our core value was obedience, hence the title...Enjoy
Nigeria is awake o ye corpers
The morning beagle calls us to attention
Our Nation has given us a great task
Our Country calls for our obedience
At the command we march
At the sound we stand at attention
Our country is awake courageous nation
From a distance we hear the call
Left right left right
Our caps forward and boots thumping
One thing we are required
Obedience to our Motherland
Nigeria is awake o ye youths
Obedience is our morning cry
In the noon our march cries obedience
On the parade ground we speak obedience
Our motto drives us o corpers
Lets make our Motherland proud
After the days work Nigeria sleeps
We set about for the close of the day
Setting our nets and patting our beds
Our anthems and pledges rings in our dreams
Our mind alert and set for the next day
Waiting and listening for the morning beagle
With Joy in our hearts we hurry to obey our nation.
