Ch. 2 What's her name?

Cory Matthews left his wife, Topanga Matthews and his five-day-old daughter, Riley Matthews at the house because he received a phone call from his older brother, Eric who told him that he's at the Manhattan Hospital. 

Cory arrived at Manhattan Hospital. 

He parked his car at the visitor's parking lot. He gets out of his vehicle and locks it. He runs towards the building and gets inside. He walks towards the front desk. He opens his mouth to say something but is cut off by a familiar voice shouting his name and a baby crying. He turns his head to the right and eyes widened when he sees Eric carrying a baby car seat with his left hand and inside is Aurora who is crying due to Eric shouting earlier.

Cory's paternal instinct kicked in when he sees Aurora with tears falling from her eyes. Aurora reminded him of his daughter, Riley. He walks up to Eric and politely asked his older brother to hold Aurora. 

" Sure! You are her Uncle," Eric happily tells Cory. 

Cory didn't realize what Eric said because his top priority is to comfort Aurora. He carefully takes the Aurora out of the baby car seat and securely held her in his arms. He looked down at Aurora and noticed that she has red hair. 

" What's her name?" Cory asked while comforting Aurora who is slowly calming down. 

" Her name is Aurora Matthews," Eric smiles. 

Cory stood still when he heard their last name. He looks up at Eric and stares at him with a curious expression. 

" Eric," Cory calls out to Eric. 

" Yeah, Cor?" Eric blinks. 

" Is this your baby?" Cory asked. 

" That's my baby. I made her," Eric wears a proud expression. 

Cory's eyes widened wearing a surprised expression. 

" Um. Who is the mother?" He asked. 

Eric's eyes saddened. 

" Her mother was Rachel McGuire," He tells Cory. " Rachel!" He cried out. " Why did you have to go and leave me with Sleeping Beauty!" He shouts feeling sad and hurt that his girlfriend is now in heaven. 

Aurora begins to cry which caused Cory to glare at his older brother. 

" Eric. You are making a scene," Cory tells Eric. " Let's go to my place. Did you come to the hospital in a car?" He asked him. 

Eric shakes his head. 

" Nope. Rachel and I came here from a taxi," He tells Cory. 

Cory blinks wondering why they used a taxi instead of a car. He didn't say anything because he realized that Rachel probably didn't want Eric to drive since his older brother would have been in a panic. 

" It's okay. I brought my car," Cory tells Eric. " I am going to put Aurora in her car seat," He carefully puts Aurora in her car seat. " Let's go," He walks with Eric out of the hospital and heads towards his vehicle. 

" How are Pangers and my little niche?" Eric curiously asked Cory. 

" Topanga and Riley are doing good. They are probably asleep," Cory tells Eric. 

He opens the back door and puts the baby car seat down and made sure it's secure in his vehicle. He looks up seeing Eric about to get inside the car in the front. 

" Hey! You Buffon, you need to sit next to your daughter and make sure that nothing terrible happens to her," Cory tells Eric. 

" Ah! Okay," Eric nods his head and gets inside the vehicle and sits next to Aurora.
