Just another regular night, the sky was a little cloudy, looks like it might have rained earlier. The people all just did as the always did, driving their cars back home. However one young girl sat in her bed, just starting to fall asleep as her boyfriend talks to her softly over the phone. Her face lights up as he says his last goodnights,

"Goodnight honey, i love you"
She replies with a soft tone
"Love you too"
They then hung up for the night, the girl gazing up at her ceiling with a big smile on her face, it slowly fades as she looks over at her monitor, beeping with her heart rate, the green line jumping up then back down.

She sat and stared at it, knowing that the line on the monitor was telling her she was alive, the medicine she was being given was keeping her body running. She would sigh, slowly looking back up at the ceiling, not knowing what to think about, her mind completely blank of thought.

She then had a quick idea, pulling out her phone, staring at a funny photo that her boyfriend had sent, her smile returned as she started to giggle at it letting out a few words of happiness just before she passed out,
"He's not perfect, but he's mine".

The next day she woke, the doctor walking in just minuets later with his clipboard and pen,
"So Janie, how are you doing so far?"
Janie looks up at the doctor with an annoyed look on her face,
"Cold, tired, and my back hurts, must i go on?"
Then doctor shook his head, letting out a small laugh,
"Alright, alright! I get it!"
They both laughed, Janie setting a hand on her side as it ached from laughing. The doctor continued to do his normal ckeck up saying a few harmless jokes along the way, just so he could lighten the mood a bit, he nodded as he finished, the nurse coming in with a tray of food, the cup just slightly wobbling on it,
"Lunch is ready miss Janie"
She set the tray on her lap, helping her to sit up and prepare to eat,
"Thank you Leslie, i couldn't eat without you"
Janie said with a kind smile, Leslie just giving her one back as she nodded happily.

When Leslie left Janie would start digging into her breakfast, the regular bit of hospital food that she always got when she came in, once finished she set the tray aside to grab the TV clicker, pressing down on the on button, the small TV flashing on right after. She flipped through the channels, not knowing what to watch that day,
"Man, is anything good ever on anyways?"
She questioned the TV with her head tilted slightly to the side, the TV giving no answer in return. After a while of flipping through channel after channel, she stoped with a small sigh, turning off the TV with her remote,
"Nothing good on, per usual"
She thought to herself for a bit before laying back down and passing out for the day.
