Chapter 9: Don't Follow Him!

I looked for Tallia and she was right behind me. She was pale. She saw what had just happened. And I wasn't paying attention because I was too busy paying attention to Benny. She slowly approached me.

"We. Need. To. Talk." She said. I nodded and followed her to a room near Austin's. "What the hell?"

"I don't know."

"Why were you kissing him? Who was he?"

"If I tell you, you promise me you won't tell Brad?" She nodded.

"Ok." We sat down and I began telling her every single detail that I knew about Benny. "What the hell?!"

I quickly covered her mouth. "Shush! I know. But..."

"But nothing! You're married and you lied!"

"I'm sorry but I fell for him!"

"But you're pregnant! You're married! You have four kids!"

"Tallia, let me fix my problems." I got up. "I'm gonna see Miranda." I walked to Miranda's room and saw Benny was there. "Hello."

"Hey Tam." Miranda giggled. "This is my nurse. His name is..."

"Benny. We already met." I smiled.

"Hola Tammy." He said. I walked and gave him a hug. He was warm.

"So Miran, how ya feeling?"

"Fine." She whispered, drowsily.

"That's great. Has James come?"

"No. Not yet."

"Oh. I thought about it."

"About the industry?"

"Yeah."

"Okay. And?"

"I'd like to create one with you. I'll be in charge of the capital."

"Yay!" She shrieked.

"And I'd like Benny to work with us."

She became silent. "Isn't he a degreed nurse?"

"No. I'm a volunteer. I actually have my master's in the industry business. I'm mostly good with negotiations and finding the right partners." Benny said.

"Oh. Sorry about that."

"So? Is he in?"

"Of course!"

"Yay!" I ran over and hugged her softly.

"This is the start of something great!!"

"I know." I gestured Benny to come over and join our hug. He warily walked over and I grabbed him. He joined the hug. After we finished, he looked at me.

"Hey, do you mind if I ask you something?" Benny asked. I nodded and we walked into the closet.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I wanted to ask..."

"Ask with confidence. Go ahead."

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"No."

"Okay. This is part two."

"Yes?"

"Do you wanna go on a date with me?"
