" I'm gonna get a drink" I yell into Maria's ear as she dances and the music blasts through the club

" okay" she says and I pull away and walk towards the bar, I stand against the bar and the bartender looks at me and smiles

" back already?" She asks and I laugh

" of course" I reply and she leans on her elbows and focuses on me

" what can I get you?" She asks

" just a vodka soda" I say and she winks and she walks away to make it

I tuck my hair behind my ears as I wait and suddenly I feel a hand on my arm

" hey there" I hear a man say and I turn to him, he's a pretty tall light skin with brown hair and green eyes and he smirks at me

" hi" I say back shyly, my eyes travel down to his tattoos and I raise an eyebrow, both of his arms are covered in sleeves, I look back up and meet his green eyes again

" what's a pretty girl like you doing here alone?" He asks

" not alone actually" I correct him " my friend is right over there" I say as I point to Maria dancing sloppily

" she's a mess" I say and he laughs

" vodka soda" I hear the bartender say and I turn around and hand her my card

" why don't I buy you a drink?" He asks and I giggle

" kind of just did. Thanks though" I say

" well then we can talk till you finish this one" he says and I raise a brow and stare at him

" I guess" I say and he smiles

I take a seat at the barstool and he sits in the other one

" so what's your name?" He asks
" Julianna" I reply
" Michael" he says as he holds out his hand and I shake it

" how old are you?" I ask
" 22, and you?" He asks

" just turned 21 2 weeks ago" I say and he smiles

" nice" he says and I giggle

" no way!" I say as I playfully slap his arm and he laughs

I'm on my 4th vodka soda since talking to Mike and he's actually pretty cool.

" I swear! It was amazing!" He says and I laugh

" I need to meet your friend then" I say and we both laugh

" Julianna we need to go" Maria says as she stumbles over to me and I turn my attention to her

" you good?" I ask and she hiccups

" you could say that" she says and I shake my head

" I'll call an uber" I say and I pull out my phone and order the uber, Maria takes a seat next to me and plops her head on her elbows and I look back at Michael

" well.. guess this is goodbye" I say and he smiles
" let me give you my number" he says and I smile and hand him my phone, after typing, he hands it back to me and I stand up

" it was nice meeting you" I say and he stands up

" you too" he says and we stand there awkwardly

I fiddle with my hands by my side and he scratches the back of his neck

" oh for god sake just kiss already" Maria says and we both look at her then at each other and laugh
