The inspiration for this story came to me in a simple quote that went like this:
"It simply isn't an adventure worth telling if there aren't any dragons."
~J. R. R. Tolkien .
And then so I thought, good idea Tolkien. So how do I add a dragon into my story? Will it be evil? A pet? Friend?
Then another brilliant idea popped into my brain. Add a Thief.
Alright, so we have that but thief, dragon, already been done. (Aka The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien )
So I kept thinking...
And thinking...
Then bam,
idea again .
What if there was a group of thieves and stealing from the beast was one of the things they had to do to earn the right and privilege of being in that community?
And thus The Thief Trails were born. :)
