"this place is huge." jaemin said in amazement, stepping in to see the pool. with lights streaming in from the glass, the blue water inside the pool shimmered.

"i know right!" someone replied. the voice echoing back as jaemin turned his head to see her.

she was wearing fishnet tights with a fifties flowered summer dress and black leather boots. she looked crazy and beautiful.

she looked cool, she always does. jaemin thought. abruptly he shook his head and a shocked expression replaced the amazement.

"what are you doing here?" he asked stepping away. na jaemin was really freaking out here. all of this coincidence? he couldn't believe it. or it could have been hallucinations.

"what is fate?" he muttered under his breath in disbelief.

yujin skipped towards him. "i go here." she said nonchalantly. "it's not a big deal you know? you just have to study until your nose bleed for easy admissions." she was being sarcastic.

"how charming." he replied to her sarcasm.

"why are you backing away?"

na jaemin flushed red at her question. he suddenly remembered their last interaction which was him embarrassing himself.

"nothing. i'm going home." he said walking past her. jaemin realized that her coming here is not really a big deal, he's the only one making it into a big deal. if they met on the highway and she lived in town of course she would go to somewhere near to further her studies.

he just found himself in some tangled situations that brought them together. just that.

"great! can you give me a ride?" she quickly ran after him, walking right next to him.

jaemin looked straight ahead, still not brave enough for that eye contact. "i actually walked today." he said while he fastened his steps and took bigger strides.

'don't feel bad, don't feel bad, don't feel bad.'

na jaemin thought that yujin would run after him or skipped towards him but he realized that he has been walking alone for the last few minutes.

he ran his fingers through his hair. "screw this."

jaemin turned his back and walked back to the swimming pool. thinking why he couldn't say no and give excuses when it was actually his forte. ever since the first time they met, he can't say no.

"what are you doing?" he tilted his head at the girl who was on the floor, dipping her legs in the water.

"just thought i'd kill some time here. my house is in town but it's too far to commute when i'm coming back for the evening." she answered while staring at the water surrounding her legs.

jaemin sighed, 'i'm going to regret this.'

"do you want to kill time at my place?" he asked.
