Have you ever heard the tale of Aurora?
Not the tale of Maleficent cursing the young child in revenge for her father.
But the one untold by the towns people.
Heavens, they would have you thinking she's a good girl. Platinum blonde hair, doe like blue eyes and as charming as can be. But, the real Aurora, was an adventurer. She could usually be seen jumping into mud puddles with the poor orphan boys or teaching young girls how to cut their skirts for easier movements.
That's when I first saw her.
Her skirts had recently been cut to her knees, something she would surely be whipped for later, and sneaking two kids from a window. They giggled as they raced around the house and headed for were the pigs had recently been bathe.
I followed silently behind, toeing the tree line so as not to be seen. Aurora and the children made the theatrics of looking both ways before, with an all mighty roar raising for the mud puddles left behind. They rolled around and threw mud at each and that's when.
That's when, I was bewitched by her. With her blonde hair pulled on top of her head, mud caking her cloths and been chased by children.
I turned on the spot and raced for the woods heart.
"Maleficent," I yelled as I trampled down to her door. Without knocking I burst through her door and ducked down as a frying pan flew over my head.
"Alliator, for heaven and hell's sake," Maleficent growled as she put down a large knife she was holding.
Her black hair was braided down her back, show casing her pale face and dark green eyes. She wore a blood red dress with a black corset today.
"I want her," I continued. "I want her for myself and I want her now. I don't care what you have to do but I need her."
Maleficent placed a hand on her hip and sighed. "Who is it now?"
"Hey, the last time I came to ask you for a person I was four," I argued defensively.
"Never the less, you always want someone. Who is it?"
"A girl," I whispered as a grin graced my lips. "A blonde who plays by the edge of town with the orphans. Her cloths are cut up and she's around fifteen."
"Aurora?" Maleficent asked confused.
"Aurora,"
"You mean Aurora, the King's daughter?" Maleficent went back to her cutting board and shook her head. "No, absolutely not. Pick someone else."
I frowned and rounded the counter. I softly placed my hand on her forearm. "Maleficent, please. I need this human. I just do. It's something I feel here," I pointed to the center of my chest.
Maleficent sighed greatly. "You will bring war to us. The King hates anything to do with magic and he'll know she's been taken by one of our kind." She warned.
"This isn't a task I ask of you lightly." I said my voice a soft caress now. "But I must have her."
Maleficent looked down at me. Her green eyes taking me in with the softness only someone who cares about you can. "She will fight you tooth and nail," was her last warning. "Set the table, we must prepare."
I laughed and rushed to do as I was told.
"She's eighteen,"
"Who?" I asked confused as I set down a fork on each plate.
"Aurora, she's eighteen."
