Mentions of imprisonment, poor living conditions, blood, and death
"Number 382 back away from the door," a voice boomed from the other side of the metal bars. I flinched hearing my so called 'name' being called and quickly moved to the corner furthest from the door, followed by the echoing of my feet hitting the cold floor and a chain sliding across the concrete. One end of the chain was welded to the ground by the door and the other end was hooked to the metal collar wrapped around my neck.
I looked through the silver strands of hair in front of my eyes, towards the door. My also silver ears pinned back down on my head and my tail hugged my waist. I growled barring my teeth as the man who opened the door and entered my 'room'.
"Come one, it's time to go the arena," I only growled as he crept closer, "Come on you know the drill, change."
I growled a little loader causing him to stop but did as he demanded. Blue flames circled around me up towards the ceiling of my cell. As my flames died down there was a clank of metal on the floor near my feet caused from my collar snapping off and falling to the floor. I stood at 7 ft as a wolf. I peered down at the man and growled.
He took careful steps forward and latched a bigger metal collar around my neck that barley fit and a mental clamp around my muzzle keeping me from opening my mouth. He connected my collar to the clamp with a metal chain to keep me from thrashing my head around and then attached a thick leash to my collar.
He let out a breathe he had been holding due to fear. I was know in this hell whole because a week after I had arrived here I killed my 'caretaker'. Even though that was five years ago the people who are in charge of 'taking care' of me are scared of loosing their lives as well. But after that one incident I never retaliated or killed another person again. I had received an extreme beating from a man in all black as 'punishment'. I couldn't move for a whole month after that. So I just learned to comply with their demands. All the while picturing their necks torn out by my jaws, in my head.
The man pulled me forward through my door and down the hallway, passing hundreds of other freezing cells that contained others that were like me, werewolves, all chained, branded on their left forearm with a number, and starved.
I had been here the longest because I never lost a fight when I was in the place called the arena. I fought my other opponents knowing very well that showing mercy would kill me. Like I said I only ever killed one person and that was my caretaker. I don't kill my opponents, I only make it look like I do since if we die our bodies get dumped outside in the forest.
I always go for the necks so I can strike a certain nerve that slows their heart rate and paralyzes them of 12 hours. Humans are so easy to fool.
Today is just like any other day I'll be led into that blood stained arena for hours facing challenger after challenger until I collapse due to dehydration, exhaustion, and starvation.
Well that's what they think.
Two metal doors open before me leading to a room. It's filled with excited, disgusting humans. They're all circled around a huge metal fenced-in area. The once grey concrete is covered in blood, not an inch of grey showing. Other wolves who have lost their will to fight against their captures are growling at me. But I ignore all of it, the growling, smell of blood, sweat, the sound of the cheering, the pull on my chain, no I'm focused on thing and one thing only.
The wooden door. That door is it. It leads to what I've yearned for, what all of use werewolves here yearn for. That door leads to my, to our, freedom. And today nothing in here is stopping me. I saved my energy and stretched out my once a week meal to last me five days. Today I finished the last of it. Today I'm going to see light, true light once again. All of us are.
I start to growl extremely load, earning shushed gasp from the crowd and a new found smell of fear replaced the excitement in the room. I jump up off my front paws rearing up. Pulling the man, that is gripping my leash, and flinging him into the air. He let go of my leash and came crashing down onto the concrete, screaming in pain due to the impact. I put my front paws down and then snapped the chain that was connecting my muzzle and collar.
I snap my mouth open, shattering the clamp around it. My eyes dart to the men who are approaching me with guns and spiked chains. My mauve pink eyes began to shine brighter as they narrowed. I let out a small breathe then showed my teeth. "Every single one of you here, down to the very last drop of your existence, will pay with your blood for trapping me here. For trapping all of us here!" I growled and quickly ran towards the said men, knocking them over unconscious.
I looked up and saw the other wolves attacking the other people in the room, killing them, no slaughtering them.
After killing a few guards on the way I barged into the security room and transformed back into my human like form, my once metal collar fell around me and onto the floor. I swiftly moved snapping the necks of the few people in the room and grabbed the cage keys. Humans are so predictable, just one key for all the cages, and then one key for the collars.
I ran back downstairs, smiling as I passed the arena room. Blood was everywhere, very few humans were left alive and soon the ones who were, were killed as well. I ran back through the metal doors I had first came through and into the hallway of cages. I unlocked cage one by one and took off the collars of the prisoners.
After I freed them all, they followed me back into the arena. The smell of blood was strong and made me want to throw up, even if it was human blood I still couldn't stand how disgusting it all was. I was satisfied though seeing as our captures were now lying dead in their own pools of blood.
I didn't stay long and headed straight for the wooden door. I hesitated slightly. Was this real? Five long years of torture, being chained. Am I finally going to be free? I was almost scared to open the door. What if the light I saw emitting from this door so many times before was just another light bulb on the ceiling? What if this is a dream?
I was snapped out of my thoughts when a little werewolf girl pulled on my long shirt, "Um are we going to be free?" Her black ears were slightly pinned back, and her blue eyes shined with hope and fear all at the same time. I smiled and placed my hand on her back pushing her in front of me so she was facing the door, "Of course, I just need help opening this door, I'm a little scared since it's so dark in here." She let out a little giggle and pushed on the door.
