( Daisy POV )

It happened when I was 16.

"Why didn't you tell me?" My dad asks, mad at me.

"It only happened a week ago and I'm still trying to control it!" I say.

"How did it happen?" He asks me.

"I found a blue crystal but it fell off my hand and broke and then I was covered in stone..." I explain.

He takes a deep breath.

"Why didn't you tell me, Daisy?" He says.

"I'm sorry okay?" I ask.

"Do you at least have it under control?" He asks.

"I think so." I say. No, I definitely didn't.

"You missed Pepper's birthday. Did you at least call her?" He asks.

"Geez, dad! I just fucking discovered I'm literally half alien and you're asking me if I remembered Pepper's birthday?!" I say, getting up from my chair and turning my back to my dad while breathing heavily. I can already feel myself losing control. Everything is shaking around me. I close my eyes.

"Daisy?" I hear my dad call.

That's when it happened. When Pepper came down the stairs was when I had completely lost control. Blocks of concrete started to come down of the roof.

Well, let's say I almost killed my dad's girlfriend that day. Not cool.

Then, my dad insisted that I wore I divice in my neck that would stop me from using my powers. I said no thanks and took on a journey to an Inhuman village called Afterlife, where I learned how to control my powers.

Found my birth mom there. She was the leader of the village. I learned a lot from her. Found an incredible guy who soon became my boyfriend. Learned a lot from him too.

6 months later, the village was attacked by HYDRA. My boyfriend made it out alive. My mom wasn't so lucky.

I called my dad two days after that happened. He asked how I was. I told him everything that happened. He was worried but he never told me to come home or wanted to see me. I understood. After all, I almost killed the love of his life. I asked about Pepper. He only told me she was fine. It was a brief conversation.

I felt abandoned once again in my life.

I was 18 when I joined SHIELD. If I had these powers, I had to use them for what's right and SHIELD seemed like a good place to start.
