THE BLONDE GIRL sat down at the dining table, giving her parents a quick smile and digging into her breakfast, "You'll be walking Hanna to school today." Her father informed her.
Carina rolled her eyes, "She's thirteen. I'm sure she can walk by herself."
Her father gave her a little glare, "I'm not debating whether or not she can go by herself, I want you to go with her."
Carina huffed before standing up, "Fine." She stomped over to the stairs, "Hanna! We're leaving!" She yelled up the stairs before grabbing her jacket and book bag, "I won't be waiting!"
She heard footsteps on the stairs, "I'm here, I'm here."
"Grab an umbrella. I think it's supposed to rain today!" Their mother told them from the dining room table, "We don't want you to get sick again, Carina."
"Yeah, yeah." Carina mumbled, grabbed the umbrella, "C'mon, squirt."
They were halfway to Hanna's school when she spoke up, "I'm sorry you had to bring me. I tried to convince dad that I could go on my own, but he wouldn't let me."
The blonde sighed, wrapping her arm around her younger sister, "I don't blame you. After what happened to me, I'm sure they're just trying to protect you."
"Yeah, but you got better." Hanna responded,
"But they were experimental trials, Han. We had no clue if it would work or not." Carina said just as a black van labeled 'Apollo' appeared beside them. It parked on the sidewalk, blocking their path, and men in black protection gear came out, "Carina Pedersen."
Carina pushed her sister behind her, "Yes?"
"You need to come with us." The largest man ordered before they grabbed her by the arms,
"Hey! Let go!" She began kicking and they dragged her towards the back of the van, "Hanna! Go get mom and dad!"
Drops of rain began to fall from the sky as Carina watched her sister run down the street. Just before the doors closed, her sister collapsed and twitched on the asphalt, "Hanna!" Carina screamed before the men in the gear injected her with something and everything went dark.
