We spent that night in Paris
Watching people walking by
You asked me if I believed in fate
I said you still owed me another drink
At one point I thought
Maybe we should stop bragging our grand opinions
And dance under the streetlights instead
Although I never liked dancing
Maybe we should stop dreaming to become somebody else
Cause it was you who I fell in love with
I wonder if you would know
How bad I wanted to kiss you then
Make it a trip to remember
Baby what we need was not another debate
I just wanted to hear you say I love you
