( papyrus's POV )

we were all on the surface. me and sans live in a two story house now. sorta like our old house. sans sent me out to go get groceries and I had gotten everything. I still had some time before I had to be home. so I went looking around in the mall. there were all kinds of stores. I saw a pet store. why not go and see what they had? I may find something for me and sans to keep as a pet so why not? I walked inside with my hands in my hoodie. " hello! how may I help you? are you looking for a pet today? " a woman asked behind a desk. " im just looking don't mind me too much " I said lazily. I looked around and saw a.. snake inclosure. something was hanging in a branch in a small fake tree in the inclosure. I took a look. there was writing on a tag in the front. it said 'species: lamia bitty ' i looked at the creature in the inclosure. it had the top of a normal bitty but the bottom half of a snake. it looked at me with wide E/C eyes. its tongue flicked out at me. " hey there " i said lazily to the lamia bitty in the inclosure. it waved shyly at me. " thats Y/N " the lady at the front desk said. " Y/N huh? " I said to myself. the lamia bitty named Y/N nodded. it hissed slightly as it slithered down from the branch onto the ground and looked up at me. its tongue flicked at me again as it blunk at me. " is anyone going to take her? " I asked the woman at the desk. " Nope! you can feel free to adopt her she is very calm when it comes to being handled and she isn't venomous " the lady at the front desk said. the little lamia bitty looked up at me with hope in their eyes. " hey there. my names papyrus " I said. " p-papy! " the little bitty said. it was adorable I nearly melted. " hm. maybe I will get her she seems like she would be good with sans " I said looking at her small face. it lit up in happiness. she grinned showing off her small fangs. " im guessing you like that idea huh dontcha? " I asked her. she nodded happily. I went to the front desk and signed the adoption papers for her. " great! each month we will give her a check up and at the three month mark she gets to choose to stay with you and if she doesn't she will be returned here! " the woman at the front desk said. I nodded lazily. I saw the little lamia bitty's face light up in bright happiness. " let me help you get her out and I will get a carrier for her " the lady at the front desk said. she walked out of sight and came back with a carrier the right size for the little bitty. she walked over and reached into the inclosure and offered the little bitty her hand. the bitty climbed into her hand. she gently put the bitty in the carrier. I grabbed the stuff I needed for the bitty and paid for it and left with the bitty carrying it in the carrier carefully not to drop her. I walked over to my car with her and gently put her carrier into the passenger seat and buckled it in so it wouldn't shake or move her while I drove. I then put everything into the trunk. I got in the drivers seat and started to drive home. i hope she likes it back at home.
