Sherlock's new case

Chapter 1: Bored

Sherlock was astounded.
He was out-of-breath.
He didn't know what to think of it all.
Usually his brain was like a train station. Whenever one thought ended, a new one was right back on board. But now....now the train station was filled with one sole passenger and thought: John

Since the day John came into his world, Sherlock had been in love with him. In love with the way he didn't judge him for his sociopathic tendencies. In love with the way that John always trusted him, even when it seemed as though the whole world was against him. In love with the way he still loved him unconditionally despite his many, many flaws.

But it wasn't until Sherlock found the diary that he actually believed John may possibly love him back.

He'd been looking for John's lap top; he needed it to check his email as he'd shot his own lap top the week before due to boredom. He'd gone to John's nightstand where he knew it would be tucked away safely in the drawer, but instead of the lap top, he'd found a leather journal hidden under some extra pillow cases.

Sherlock had no boundaries, and John had grown to live with that part of him, so Sherlock opened it. On the first page, it read "John, write your thoughts and fears in this journal whenever you are overcome with emotion, it will help you understand yourself better until our next session.
- Your Therapist, Ella Thomson".

So, thought Sherlock, it's merely a therapy journal. He flipped to the last entry: March 18th. That was only five days ago. Sherlock didn't know that John was still having PTSD from his wartime experiences.

What Sherlock did next was cruel. It was an invasion of privacy. It was a horrible thing to do to a friend: he started reading the diary.
