He likes her.
It was really obvious.
How?
Each day he will looks at her as she walked past his working place. His heart was beating so loud that he wondered whether everyone in the vicinity could heard it. When her eyes accidentally met his eyes, he thought he died and in heaven.
He, Jessie was totally, absolutely, definitely, 100% in love with her, the girl that he didn’t even know her name. As the matter of fact, he knew nothing about her.
“Stop staring at her ass and do something!” said his boss, smacking his head in the process after he longingly stared at her again.
“Do you have to smack that hard?” Jessie complained, rubbing his head in the process.
“Well, since you’re annoying me to death, yes!”
Jessie huffed, cursing the man in his heart. Thanks to the man’s meddling, the girl already disappeared. Now he had to wait until tomorrow to see her again. Thanks a lot, you shriveled old man!
“Keep on staring and you’ll get no where! Just be a man for once! Are you a man or I was wrong all along?” questioned his boss.
“Of course I am a man!” replied Jessie indignantly.
“Then start acting like one! If I were you, I would’ve married to her by now. We’re probably start producing babies like bunnies!”
Jessie stared at the man. “I’m eighteen! Why should I get married so young?”
“Are you going to confess to her or not?” asked his boss, ignoring his question.
“I don’t even know her name, how can I confess to her?” muttered Jessie dejectedly. “She’s probably in love with someone.”
“If you don’t know, just ask. What so hard about that?”
“Well…”
Jessie had no answer to that? If he asked her, would she tell him? What if she rejected him straight away? He’ll be heart broken if she did. That’s why he’s too shy and afraid to take that step.
His boss saw the look on his face, patted his shoulder. “Even if she rejected you, it won’t be the end of you. At least then you can move on. It might not be easy, but it’s better than getting stuck.”
That’s right! The worse that could happened was to be rejected. Be a man! Take the next step! It’s time for him to move forward!
“Boss, you sound like you have lots of experience!” said Jessie with a big smile on his face.
His boss scoffed. “I was eighteen once! However I lived in much more interesting life than yours! It was glorious! Compared to me, you’re like a hermit! Now that you seemed like you’ve made you mind, get moving and do you freaking job! I don’t pay you to stare at a girl’s ass all day!”
If it was so glorious, why did you open a book store then? But Jessie smartly shut his mouth and start on sweeping the floor. He better know when not to answer back if he still wanted to work here.
Jessie continued to think on how he wanted to ask her name tomorrow. He should make a very good plan to impress her. After all, first impression mattered the most.
