Authors note: Apologies btw I'm not very good at starting off new stories so if you don't get the start of this chapter read the description of the book ;) Also sorry if I'm pointing out who is who like "W'Kabi shouted, T'challa's bestfriend." It's because maybe you have forgotten who's who, cause some of there names sound very similar.
Also I am going to change the book cover it was originally going to be an Asgardian girl but then I changed my mind, it's just my camera roll isn't working atm urghhhh
Edit: the cover is changed now ;)

I'd been sat on the cold floor for hours, just staring at the same spot. Erik told me to go to sleep, but as always I was riddled with nightmares from my past, waking me up like every other night. [Erik is the killmongers first name btw and Im pretty sure his last name is Stevens but I'm just gonna keep it as killmonger and he isn't evil at all in this book]

It must have been late at night when I heard the muffled voices coming from the room next door, because my large open window casted no light on to the marble of my bedroom floor. I got up out of the large bed and followed the voices down the corridor.

"But I am so worried about her."
"Erik there isn't much we can do."
It was T'challa and Erik.
"We need to help her, Wakanda is no good for her and it never was. She hates this place and it's making her condition worsen, she says that she's been sleeping, but let's be serious! We cannot protect her from herself anymore! She doesn't seem to be getting any better." Erik argued. "And god knows T'challa, I want to help her get through this. But being here is not helping."
T'challa sighed. "What do you propose we do then?" He asked.
"We need to give her a normal life."
"Y/n is not normal though!" Someone yelled, it sounded like Ramonda, T'challa's mother.
"But mother! We want the best for Y/n! The things she is reminded of everyday are killing her." Shuri argued.
"He's right. Maybe this is the best option." W'kabi spoke up, T'challa's best friend. "She should go to Earth."
"I cant believe this!" T'Chaka shouted, T'challa's father. "We can't just drop her off and expect her to live there for the rest of her life."
There was silence for a few seconds.
"What about the Avengers?" Erik suggested.
"Do we trust them?" T'chaka asked, calming down.
"Yes." T'challa said. "And they owe us a favour."
"Will she be happy with this decision?" W'Kabi asked.
"I bet she's wanted to get out of here since day one." Erik said truthfully.
T'chaka nodded his head. "Go to America with her tomorrow and let her meet them. If she wants to stay, she can stay."

Wow I couldn't fucking believe it. I was moving to America in a matter of hours, and obviously I was over the moon with the idea.

I'd been going down in a spiral of what looked like ptsd and this place didn't help, no one understood why I had horrible nightmares that would wake me up screaming or why every so often I would I would have blackouts or why I didn't concentrate or why I hardly ever ate. They just didn't understand, but I couldn't blame them, I never told anyone what had happened to me.

A brief backstory of me:
I was found and saved by a tribe from Wakanda, they showed me to the king who was T'chaka at the time and they noticed I needed immediate medical attention.
When I was examined by a princess called Shuri, she discovered I had very strange abilities; so they allowed me to stay. I was raised next to Shuri and T'challa, even when he became king, I fought with them, even making friends like Erik Killmonger.
...
I was just looking out onto Wakanda, on my balcony when I heard a voice calling me to wake up. I'd only slept 8 hours in the last 4 days, but somehow I survived being sleep deprived week after week, month after month.

"Wake up sunshine!" Erik shouted. "Y/n?" He must have been looking around my room for a few seconds before her realised I was outside. He came and stood next to me, leaning on the marble barrier like me, making me turn my head slightly.
