"Finally..."
"Finally the day has come!"
A dragoness of rasberry, magenta and pink with ruby gemstones stood near the gates of what would determine her fate. Will she live on to restore hope to all dragons or die in the talons of what she used to know as a best friend? Whatever would happen, it will go down in history. The piece history that would be told to millions of generations once 'this' is over.
"This the day that will put an end to all the suffering and pain that I'm facing. She...She will pay for all what she has done to me! I swear, she will be the one to die today. I will be the one to carve her name on the stone. Just wait, Serene...You're games will be over once your blood's shed!" The dragoness snarled under her breath with great fury.
"Can't there be another way to solve this? A way that doesn't involve either of you being killed?"
A smaller dragoness with huge ears and brown fur whimpered from fear and sadness. She can't risk to see another one who was dear to her die again! First, it was Ryburgh. He was somedragon she known she could trust. He felt more like a big brother despite not being related. He was incredibly strong and tough like a boulder, however he had a heart as soft and delicate as feathers. Next was Athena, the dragon she looked up to in hopes one day she'll be as brave as her. She remembered the times she was with her during training. Both of them had the wish of becoming guards to protect both worlds of dragons from harm. On her grave, she swore that she would try her best to fulfill her dreams. Then, it was her twin brother. He was the one she loved the most. From the day they were separated from their parents, she relied on him the most. They were always together, from the very beginning they hatched from their eggs. They would play in the prairies on Leaf Hills and chill out in their talon-made tree-den. Upon seeing his body dead on the ground, she immediately wanted the war to be stopped. She didn't want her heart to break ever again. She didn't want more dragons who she considered 'family' to die. But now, she has to witness either one to leave her life.
"NO. CARI. NO! For how many for dragon -saken times do I have to tell you. No. Absolute. Other. Way! Do you know why Ryburgh or Athena died? Why Derwyn's body was left on the ground? IT WAS ALL HER PLAN! She was the one behind this! She was the one who plotted their deaths. I told you how many times on who killed your brother and you still wouldn't believe me! I have to seriously slay this ragged, demented, heartless, unforgivable dragoness."
"B-but, she was our-"
"FOR GOODNESS SAKE, SHE IS THE ENEMY, CARI, THE ENEMY! Stop acting like a hatchling and grow up all ready. Whatever you say Cari, it won't do anything to stop any of this from happening. I'm doing this for everyone in both worlds, especially those who died. I'm bringing them the justice they deserved. Come on, Cari. Pick a side!"
"..."
The gate infront of the raging dragoness was starting to open. The large rectangular iron block squeaked as it rose from the ground. Light seeped into the room of was previously dimly lit. The cries and voices of many dragons started to fill the room. It's all going to happen now. The deal. The deal she agreed to with 'her'. They will duel for the crown and whoever wins will rule both worlds. She knew there would be no turning back once she lays a talon into the arena's hard ground. She didn't want to turn back anyways. Before she stepped forward, Cari blurted out.
"Good luck then, Reanne. Even if Serene is indeed evil like as you say, I know that she has a small, glitter spot in her soul that is good. Whatever happens this afternoon, it will stop will the fighting going on. You've been there for me ever since brother died and seeing you die will break me completely. I'm choosing you cause you are one of the most caring friend I've ever had. I wish you luck to win."
Reanne managed to smile at her feathered friend before turning back to walk into the arena. The whole reason she lived for was for this very moment. She was alive to be one of two dragons to rule two worlds. She was alive to bring peace to all dragons alike. She was here to fight another for a crown made of gold and different types of gemstones. This very moment is what she had to live for. A dragon of lavender and purple feathers and fur stood opposing to her.
"I'm here Serene. I'm here finally end your chaos once and for all."
