Always a divide,
Between contemplation and instinct,
The causes and effects,
The decision.
For those who act,
And act out,
Only to be faced with tribulation,
Scolding at times,
Shifting perceptions at others,
And always judgement,
For the misconducted,
And for the misinterpreted.
The eternal lesson,
Both never forgotten,
And never remembered.
Oft appreciated,
And yet always disputed.
The circumstantial internal struggle of man,
The disguised measuring stick,
Calculating growth of the heart,
Of character.
