Thirteen • Love

After you and Kakyoin were reunited you started spending a lot of time together, especially at school.

Today was no exception.

"I'm coming!" you yelled from your room hearing a knock on the door. You finished putting on your uniform, grabbed your bag and ran down the stairs.

You quietly opened the door still panting from running down, Kakyoin looked at you with a funny confused expression. "Why did you run down? We have time you know?" he chuckled. You nodded and smiled catching your breath "I know... I just wanted to see you right away..." you said, blushing lightly and averting your gaze as realization hit you, but you didn't try to correct or justify yourself. Looking up at Kakyoin you could see his cheeks were slightly pink as well.

Both of you just brushed it off and walked together to school picking up Jotaro on the way, you both laughed when he reluctantly accepted a kiss from his mom.

When you finally arrived at school, Jotaro immediately walked in the opposite direction of his class saying he was skipping and you rolled your eyes, "See you later" you said to Kakyoin before walking into class since he was in a different class from you.

You sat down and took out your things, looking out the window as your classmates talked to each other, you were all in good terms (except a few girls here and there since you walked with Jotaro to school for quite a while now) but none of them were really considered 'friends'.

The teacher soon came in and started talking, causing you to zone out almost immediately. You normally payed attention to every class, or at least tried your best, but this time there was something else on your mind, or rather... someone. And that someone was none other than Kakyoin.

He had already been around for more than a week and everyday you were planning a way to confess your feelings to him... it was hard since you were pretty shy and got very nervous just imagining those situations, so you kept using the famous "i'll do it tommorow" excuse.

"Miss L/N, were you paying attention?", you started mentally panicking trying to figure out a justification for your lack of attention, nothing came up so all you said was "no Mr. Yuki... i apologize", he gave you a stern look but soon continued his lesson.

With the first lesson over you exited the classroom and met up with Kakyoin. The two of you spent a few minutes searching for Jotaro but he was nowhere to be found... as usual, so you gave up and went outside to the patio where you sat down on a bench far away from everyone else.

"Hey, Y/N, do you want to hang out after school?" he said, a small smile appeared on your lips as you quietly nodded "I'd like that, where are we going?" you asked, he chuckled at your question earning a puzzled look from you. "Well, i was thinking since we dont have afternoon classes today we could go eat something together, then maybe go to the arcade or something, and the last place.... is a surprise." he smiled "Oh yeah, i promised my mother i would eat at home with her, i hope you don't mind coming to my house." he added, you shook your head and looked away turning your head slightly to hide the blush on your face, "Not at all! Your parents seem like wonderful people!" you smiled, Kakyoin smiled back as he heard your sweet words.

After a few more minutes of talking the bell rang and you said goodbye once more, going to class.

A few hours later your classes were over, and so were Kakyoin's, you waited for him at the school gate and he soon walked over to you.

You had a nice talk with him about videogames while you were walking with him to his house.

He opened the door "Mom, i'm home! I brought a friend over, i hope you don't mind!" he yelled, the word 'friend' leaving his mouth hurt more than usual, but you kept the smile on your face.

His mother quickly came down the stairs and greeted both of you smiling. "Lunch will be ready in a minute!" she said calmly "you two can entertain yourselves for the time being" you could hear the smirk on her face, making your cheeks a light shade of pink.

Kakyoin smiled at you signaling for you to follow him. The two of you walked to his room and sat on his carpet in a slightly awkward silence for a few seconds until you finally decided to speak up.

"Your mother is nice..." was the best thing you could come up with, "Oh yeah, she's really kind. My father isn't here right now, he's probably working, i'm sure he'd love to meet you though." he said. You smiled softly at his sentence.

Your talk went on for a few more minutes until Kakyoin's mother called the both of you for lunch.

The meal went by rather quickly with a few typical questions like "What is the thing between you two?" kind of things, making you extremely flustered, which amused Kakyoin.

"Alright mom, we'll be going now" "Goodbye Mrs. Kakyoin" you said, "Have fun!" she responded, smiling.

The two of you walked cheerfully to the arcade talking about your favorite games.

Once you arrive Kakyoin suggests you play a fighting game first, "Sure, you better be prepared i'm quite good at these" you give him a small smirk and he chuckles, "We'll see about that" he says.

You ended up winning more matches than Kakyoin which made you quite happy. The two of you kept playing various games, Kakyoin won most of them, however you got very close to winning everytime, which made you even more frustrated.

"Ok, now i want to take you somewhere else before we go" he said, you looked at him with a confused look on your face. Kakyoin took your hand making your cheeks turn red, and walked with you to a small hill that had, probably the most beautiful view you had ever seen, especially at that time of the day, with the sun almost fully set making the whole sky a soft shade of orange, pink and blue. "N-Noriaki this is.... beautiful..." you said mesmerized by the view.

"Glad you like it." you heard him say, you looked over at him noticing that he had sat down on the perfectly green grass with those warm lights from the sunset. He patted the spot beside him signaling for you to take a seat there, and you calmly did so.

"Why did you bring me here?" you questioned. "Well..." he sighed and placed his hand on top of yours, making you look directly into his eyes, "This might be the most cliché thing you've ever heard" he chuckled at his own words "Y/N, you are... probably the most amazing person i've ever met, you made me happy, you made me laugh, smile, you calmed me down when i needed to, you kept me company in the hospital, you believed me with the whole baby story, it might not seem like a big deal for you but it is for me... and you're beautiful, kind, caring and possibly what i'm most grateful for.... you saved my life... And, i just really.. really like everything about you... what i'm trying so hard to say is... i've fallen in love with you Y/N L/N" at this point you were a blushing mess, with a hidden face might i add, you had hidden your precious face in your knees so he wouldn't see the state you were in, especially since you could feel tears falling from your eyes after such a genuine heartfelt confession.

You wiped your tears and looked at him in the eyes with the widest smile ever and just tackled the boy into a hug. "Is that your way of saying 'i love you too?' " he asked hugging you back, all you did was nod in a way that he would feel it as tears of joy left your eyes and landed on his shoulder and thought:

"I really do love you"

(I AM. SO. SORRY. I TOOK WAAAY TOO LONG TO WRITE THIS. It's due to some uhm mental stuff that's been extra strong these past few days and finding motivation to do anything at all has been very hard for me, i'm sorry i made you wait so long, but i hope you enjoyed regardless, love you~)
