Im Elaina Reynolds, AKA, "new girl". i recently moved to a small town in pennsylvania. there's not a lot of people in the high school, so pretty much everyone knows about me being new here.
i looked around once i got in my new school. "Heya, im Ashleigh, what's your name?" i felt a tap on my shoulder. i turned around to see a tall, skinny girl with long wavy brunette hair. she had round glasses with bright sparkling green eyes behind them. She was wearing a frilly black dress and black converses.
"oh uh hi Ashleigh. I'm Elaina. I'm new here" I know... it seemed pretty obvious.
"You a sophomore?" she smiled and showed me her schedule.
I nodded and read hers, looking at mine to see if we had any classes together. "Hey we have chem, english, career tech, and algebra together. And we are in the same lunch period!" I looked back at her to see a big smile with braces. I smiled back, revealing the gap between my teeth.
"Allow me to show you around this mess of a school" she chuckled as she signaled me to follow her.

Lunch time, the time where everyone goes crazy, as if they're not gonna get any food. I scan the cafeteria to find Ashleigh. i found her sitting alone at one of the booths. after i get my food, i walk in her direction.
"Oh hey Elaina!" she waved at me. i smiled and sat down across from her. "So how are you liking our little school?"
"Well, it's different to see 7th graders running around in a high school" This whole school experience is different for me, I used to be home schooled.
"Yeah... did you see that cutie in algebra this morning?" im sure she was referring to the guy that was surrounded by a bunch of desperate girls. I believe his name was Alex or something like that. I didn't pay any attention because frankly, I don't really care about boys.
"Alex? hah yeah... cutie" I said sarcastically, but I don't think she caught it
"Hey wanna come to my place after school? I wanna show you something cool"
I hesitate because 1, she's still a stranger. 2, what is 'something cool'? for all I know she could be a serial killer.
"sure! I'd love to" i smiled. she smiled back
"Elaina, i feel like we're gonna be good friends"
