The next day had started out the same as any other. There wasn't a whole lot to do around the palace, so you decided to go into town. After eating, showering and putting on a royal blue and gold gown, you made your way towards the palace entrance.
The streets of Asgard bustled with busy people, all hurrying to get somewhere. You made your way to the market, where Asgardians came to sell all sorts of goods. There were books and weapons and baked items, made fresh each day. You walked over to one of the weaponry shops and picked up a beautifully decorated knife. It had gold leaves and flowers on the handle. You were in the process of purchasing it, when two guards walked up to you.
"The Allfather has requested your presence," one of them said.
You sighed and put the knife in your thigh holster. You motioned for them to lead the way. They led you through the gardens, you were slightly surprised that you were headed towards the King's private quarters, instead of the throne room. One of the guards opened the door and announced your arrival.
"Thank you, that will be all," Odin said. The guard shut the door behind him and Loki returned to his body. You made your way over to the terrace, that overlooked Asgard.
"I thought you didn't want to see me? Or have you already forgotten about kicking me out yesterday, by throwing a plate at my head?" You inquired.
"No. However, I thought about what you said, all night. About how you could hold this over my head," he replied.
"What do you want?" You spat, tired of listening to him. You turned around and looked at him.
"Watch your tone, lady y/n. I am the King now, and you shall speak to me, as such," he warned.
"Just because you exiled Odin and use your illusions, doesn't make you King. The people only bow to you because they respect the Allfather. When has anyone ever respected a word that came out of your mouth?"
You were inches away from his face, when you yelled this. He did not like your response and slapped you hard across the cheek.
"Is that all you've got?!" You screamed at him. You could see the fire in his green eyes, he wanted to hit you again, but he didn't.
"I cannot have you gallivanting around the kingdom with that kind of power over me."
"Then throw me in the dungeons. See where that will get you."
"No, that would be too suspicious. People would notice. Odin and Frigga loved you too much for me to be able to do that, without raising question. You will be my advisor."
"Your what?"
"You will stay by my side and advise me on things regarding the ruling of Asgard. You will be my slave," he smiled, wickedly.
"I will not be your slave," you exclaimed.
"I don't believe it was a question I was asking. You don't get a choice in this," he replied.
"I would rather die, before I became your slave," you snapped. You started towards the doors, but he appeared in front of you.
"What do you not understand? You don't have a choice," he hissed.
He grabbed a handful of your hair and pulled your head back. You yelped in pain. He didn't care, he wasn't trying to hide any of the anger he was feeling. He snapped his fingers and you felt a cuff appear around your wrist.
"If you try to tell anyone about me, they will die and you will be punished. We are not kids anymore, y/n. This isn't me messing around with you. I will not let you ruin this for me. I have worked too hard to be where I'm at and I will not allow you to take it all away from me."
He released your hair and you stumbled backwards. You were so taken aback by what he said. You just stood there and stared for a moment, trying to remember how to speak.
"Frigga would be disappointed in you," you finally said.
"How dare you?! You have not seen what I've seen, I've seen places you haven't even heard of. I have learned a great deal of things and been through Hel and back. I've given up everything to sit on the throne!"
You walked back towards him, reaching up to touch his forehead. He grabbed your wrist and glared at you.
"Don't you dare," he warned. He knew you were trying to access his memories.
"Show me all these horrible things you've seen and all these hidden places."
"I owe you nothing, nor do I need to prove anything to you. I do not need you for the moment, you may leave," he told you.
He stepped slightly to the side, to let you leave. You were still mad and wanted to fight some more. You knew it wouldn't get anywhere, so you left, but not before shoving him out of the way.
"Do you want to get punished?" He asked, using Odin's voice.
"Bite me," you replied, flipping him off. You heard the door slam shut behind you.
You walked out to the garden, in front of his room and took a seat on one of the benches. You looked down at the cuff that was on your wrist. It fit snuggly. You tried to pull it off, but no matter how hard you tried, it wouldn't budge. You tried for a couple minutes, before finally accepting the fact it wasn't going anywhere. You sighed and got up.
What were you going to do? Loki was mean, but never cruel. Was it because of Frigga's death or was it something more? Maybe these memories he was hiding?
You had been devastated when Frigga was killed. She had taught you everything you knew and was the closest thing to a mother that you had ever had. You never knew your mother, she had died while giving birth to you. You missed Frigga, it still made you sad sometimes to think about the memories you had of her. You wished she were here, right now, she would know what to do about Loki.
You decided to head back to your room and take a nap. This morning had been exhausting and you had a feeling it wasn't over yet.
